Thank you all so much for taking the time to audition for this project! The turnout was incredible, and I feel so honored to have gotten such interest and enthusiasm from the voice actor community! This is a final wrap up to make my casting announcement and let all other auditioners know how casting decisions were made, to hopefully be some help with your future auditions! Our chosen cast members are: --MAERYLL: Liisa Lee --AVIPASH: Eric Peterson --RING OF MIND READING: LilRasha (Behind the Voice Actors) --GALTUS LEOFTRAN: Dean T Moody --MISC VOICES: Phoenix Emrys, Scott Henry, Melissa Sternenberg (Behind the Voice Actors) ----------------------------------- Casting decisions were made using a rubric of several considerations: Following directions --Following submission guidelines (email titles for easy identification, reading lines clearly, providing the audio format and recording rules set by the casting call) --Cast voice actors will be expected to record independently and provide reads to the editor, so following the initial guidelines for auditions goes a long way towards Recording Quality --Noise - not a deal breaker, but the less noise on your final recording, the less cleanup needed during post production. Too much noise cancellation could cause a lot of lost sound data, and leave the recording unusable --No echo - recording in a quiet space. --Microphone quality - clear voice and no clipping or harsh s’s Vocal Performance --Easy to understand line delivery --Capable of providing a clear variety of strong characters voices --Embodying a Distinct and Memorable Character --Believable line delivery --Accurate line reading. --Any changes to the written lines are non-verbal improvisations that enhance rather than change the meaning of the line Meeting the Show’s Needs --More esoteric in nature, this is a catch all for fitting what the writer needs for certain characters --This category is not a dig at anyone’s skill, sometimes you will just not meet the needs for the part, tonally or demographically, etc. --Casting often comes down to subjective variables, like the showrunner’s image for the character, or if you deviate, if you inspire them to take the role in a different direction, etc I hope that this rubric helps everyone in future auditions! Thank you all again for your time and enthusiasm for this project, and hope that you check out Nerdsmith.org to see the finished product!

(studying a crime scene, amused)
"Wheel markings lead straight to the front door. They're brazen, I'll give them that."(reminding, kind)"We are not some knight and squire. No need for "ma'ams" or "my lady"s or some such nonsense. We are partners, are we not?"
(advice, speaking quietly behind someone's back)"Be conciliatory, for now. Keep your wits about you. The institute may be beholden to the fool, but we are not."
[please do not submit lines for this role, it is already cast. Thanks!]
"It's been AGES since I've had a friend. Yeah, we're gonna have some fun."
"What can I say? The girl gets my sense of humor."
(darker, menacing)"You KNOW I'm the only one you can trust, don't you?"
"(disgruntled) "Come to smash something else of mine, have you?"
"(resigned, then rude) "Very well, come in. Wipe the paws. And keep yer fleas to yourself!"
(guilty, defensive) "I gave you all the weapons! These were just...trinkets! For myself. They weren't going to do any harm!"
(irritated) "Damned Proctors. Some noble hands 'em a sword and a badge, and they point 'em wherever they're told."
(concerned parent) "William was always so quiet. I can't imagine what must have come over him, to drive him to this...madness."
(dry, annoyed) "Welcome to the Birchfield Institute, how can I help you."
