Theme Park Planet: the Pilot Movie
Project Overview
NOTICE: Auditions are still welcome, but my motivation to finish the script is growing thin. If you'd like to help, leave a comment, and I'll link you to the Google Doc. Alternately, if you just really want to see this get finished, let me know!
I'm writing the script for what would be the pilot movie for a TV series, and even if the show is never animated, I'd love to have at least one scene fully voiced! The four leads are top priority to cast, but I'll be adding minor roles to keep this casting call active. Anyway, here's the short plot description:
Planet Menos used to be the happiest place in the galaxy until the reign of Queen Gloria began. She transformed this bright tourist destination into a gloomy dystopia, and when she was overthrown, her equally evil son Anemos took over and picked up right where she left off.
The rightful ruler of the planet, Sreca (pronounced SREE-cha), lives inside the palace walls. Not only does she not know her position, however, but she's completely unaware anything is wrong! Now it's up to resistance leaders Trimeri and Decimus to tell her, and to get rid of Anemos.

They were Sreca's parents' advisor from when those two were still king and queen, but Gloria demoted them to simply a head servant. In Sreca's years stuck in the royal palace, they were a parental figure to her, and they would have told her her backstory much earlier had they not been threatened not to.
Gender and name will be decided after casting.
Actually, Miss Sreca, YOU are the rightful ruler of this planet.
A spy who works for King Anemos who later joins the Resistance.
Oi, oi, you don’t get to diss the Queen! I mean, yeah, she kind of sucked...and she was a horrible person in general...and thanks to her my family’s starving…you know what? Diss the Queen all you like.
A calculating strategist who's fond of converting facts to numbers, Decimus is Trimeri's more level-headed partner. His emphasis on feasibility and precise timing contrasts with Trimeri's fearlessness and desire to fight, so the two of them balance each other out. Though he often comes off as cold, he genuinely cares for others, and his top concern in strategizing is the safety of the resistance members.
You’ll get the chance when we actually need to fight. Right now, we’re just going to talk to the girl, remember?
It'll be our perfect time to enter in approximately... ten seconds.
Can't you see she's shaken up already? She already saw that her best friend's a terrible person; we don't need to KILL him on top of that!
The younger Sreca, who's only been living in the palace for about one Earth year. Appears in the backstory.
I want a ride in the backyard! That'd be SO COOL!
Having been trapped in the palace for the equivalent of ten Earth years, Sreca's not the most social of people. But she is a caring dreamer who wants her planet to be a happy place, which is why the royal staff has taken extra care to make sure she doesn't know it's far from happy.
Wheeeeee! Haha, nothing like a spin on the wheel. Or…five spins. Ten.
Care about ME? You drove the entire planet into misery, and you think THAT'S what I care about?
Look. It's, uh, great that the king's gone, but... I have no idea how to do politics.
The evil king who replaced his mother not too long ago and continues to mercilessly rule Menos as a gloomy dystopia. There are two things he cares about: his own power and Sreca, the only person he's nice to. In fact, Sreca only sees him as a slightly overprotective friend, and she remains blissfully unaware of his true nature. But all that's about to change.
Sorry I kept you waiting, Sreca. You know busy I get sometimes.

Sreca, I know what you heard out there, but I… I really do care about you.
A charismatic warrior who knows a thing or two about leadership, Trimeri is always eager to fight bad guys. While her overconfidence and tendency to rush into things can get in the way, she has a knack for inspiring hope in her troops, and when you see her at the head of an army, you understand why she's one of the resistance's leading members.
You and your timing! Don’cha know a warrior’s gotta warri?
You mean I get to FIGHT? Alright, bring it on! I shall take us to victory!
