Hello! Welcome! Greetings! Thank you for your interest in Retrospection Radio's Halloween Special, "The Tell-Tale Heart", an adaptation for Podcast. If you're not familiar with Retrospection, then here's a bit about us. Every month we hold auditions (due on the first of every month) to be in the latest audio drama. These dramas are generally entirely original, along with the music, cover art, and more! We always are looking to expand, in any way. About this show:
With the creepiest month of the year coming up, we wanted to do something big. After coming off the high of "Monsters of May" and "Spooky Summer", I adapted Poe's classics "The Raven" and "The Tell-Tale Heart" into an interesting combination of a story. This is one of the most unique stories we've yet to tell here at Retrospection, and the first ever based off of a previous author's work.
So What Zit Tooya?
The Tell-Tale Heart is a very small cast. Which means I'm in dire need of some extraordinarily talented individuals. It won't take much time to record. Just an hour long Discord call sometime in October. What I really need is some art people, music people, directors, etc. who are very much so interested in helping me keep my podcast afloat.

"Man" (or woman, should she be absolutely splendid in her auditions) is the main character of the story. They are the one of whom will progress the story forward. Troubled by a past that the audience can only guess about (how did Lenore really die?), they come to live with an Old Man. When the loss of friends, Lenore, and other problems in their life truly begin to take hold, one may start to fear for the Old Man...
TRUE! --nervous --very, very dreadfully nervous I had been and am; but why will you say that I am mad? I am not mad!
--oh so gently! And then, when I had made an opening sufficient for my head, I put in a dark lantern, all closed, closed, that no light shone out, and then I moved in my head, slowly --very, very slowly, so that I might not disturb the old man's sleep.
Doubtless, what it utters is its only stock and store. Caught from some unhappy master whom unmerciful Disaster.
Narrator is the stereotypical Narrator. They can feel spooky, announcery, or just normal. They help explain to the audience some of the finer details of the story, and introduce us to the story in the first place.

Time. A fear created by man, tick-tick-ticking down to our last minute.
After the death of his beloved Lenore, our friend has moved in with an old man.
The Old Man is the kindly gentlemen who allowed "Man" (or Woman) into his home to live with him. From his perspective, they get along very well and have a good bond. He's an old man at the end of his days with a glass eye.
Good morning.
Like a rock. Nothing stirs this slumber.
It is nothing but the wind in the chimney. That? It is only a mouse crossing the floor. Perhaps merely a cricket which has made a single chirp. Nothing more.
A mysterious raven that perches upon the bust of Pallas. Not much is known about the Raven.
Nevermore.
An officer of whom discovers the man's deeds. They are warm and inviting. They would never have guessed the murder if not for the man.
