The New Catacomb is a 1922 short story by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle about two rival archaeologists exploring the catacombs under Rome. It is being produced as a full cast audio play by Against the Crowd predictions in January 2016.
We are looking for an actor to play the role of Burger. He is German in the original story but can hail from another part of the world if required.

But colleagues must always be rivals Kennedy. If I was not all too aware of your passion and energy, my friend, I would not hesitate, under pledge of secrecy, to tell you all. But, now I have your confirmation of their import, I must certainly prepare my own monograph on the matter before I expose myself to such formidable competition.
I had some very narrow escapes at first, but I have gradually learned to go about. There is a certain system to it, but it is one which a lost man, if he were in the dark, could not possibly find out. Even the first steps are difficult, but then every passage divides and subdivides a dozen times before you go a hundred yards.
