Project Overview

The Lost Cases: Shredded Heart is a FNaF inspired game Developed by the FNaF:Re Team. The game follows the life of Peter Marks, a detective who goes undercover as a security guard at the newly-renamed Dog 'n' Mouse's Food and Fun to get to the roots of a man's disappearance. 


There are a plethora of different roles that still need casting. More roles will be added to this call as we cast new voice actors.

Here's a few guidelines for your auditions:



  1. 1. You need a decent microphone quality with minimal background noise. A little bit is okay, as it can be fixed easily.



  2. 2. Say each voice line at least twice, with different tones of voice. We want an accurate idea of your raw capabilities.



  3. 3. Do NOT apply filters to your audition. We would like to hear your raw voice.

    Hello all! I'd just like to take some time on behalf on the dev team to thank all of you who have expressed interest in the project. Sally is a pink squirrel who isn't who she seems. Sally appears to be in love with the player, but in reality, she's just trying to lure you into a false sense of security. 

Her lines should reflect that - her tone of voice should imply a sarcastic - even goofy personality.

Alibi

Little is known about Alibi. She resides in the Boiler Room, and is a bit of a geek. She is fascinated by technology, and eventually will try to "upgrade" the software that powers the camera and door system. If she does this, the power will shut down, and you'll die a horrible horrible death. So, the only logical thing to do would be to keep her out.

She's also a bit obsessed with the player, so her voice should convey a hint of lust.

I'm going to be completely honest with you. This role is more of a free-for-all than anything else. He is an old animatronic from a restaurant set up before Dog 'N' Mouse's Food and Fun.

A minor character in the series, Creeper is the voice of T_e D___n__s's victims. She is young and speaks in whispers. She can be heard during a night, urging the player to turn back and stop playing. She can also be heard during certain cutscenes.

There is nothing physical about T_e D___n_s_, he is a spiritual manifestation of everything a person should not be. He is the darker force at play who killed Michael Schmidt, the former security guard at the establishment, and is now out for your blood. He is sinister, diabolical, and self-obsessed.


For T_e D___n_s_ I would consider a deep voice and an aristocrat sort of accent, but all in all we'll take anything.


Filters WILL be applied to your voice in order to fully convey this character. If you don't want that, don't apply!

Henry

Henry is an interesting character. He is a companion of William, one of the main characters, who knows what happened to Michael Schmidt on the night of his murder to the exact detail, although he has nothing to do with it. Henry is charismatic, laid back, and just full on-stupid at times, but sometimes his psychopathic tendencies leak out and the player is made aware of his true intentions.

  • "Should the compression mechanisms deactivate, do not panic. You don't have long to go anyways."

  • "You know, sitting there and doing nothing isn't gonna help you find out what... erm... NOTHING!........shit."

Molly Marks

Molly Marks is the young nine-year-old daughter of Inspector Peter Marks. She is extremely clever but also very timid. This is a minor role, but nonetheless her lines are very important to the storyline so please give it your all.

Molly will also play an even larger role in the storyline should we decide to continue the series in the form of a sequel.

Some context to these lines:

1. When the player dies in this game, the player is knocked back and their vision goes blurry for a few seconds. During this time, you can hear both Sarah and Molly screaming their name in anguish and grief as if they had just witnessed his death. The idea is to give the player an idea of the affect that dying has on the other characters. It's a harrowing experience, so this line has to be perfect.

2. At the end of Night 6, you hear Molly talking about his father and how much he valued his work. She is traumatised by the horrible things that happened to her mother at the end of Night 5. However, she is unaware of her father's death. In this small monologue she's talks about how much Peter valued his work, but also reveals much of his failings as a father. It appears that he was never there for his family, caring more about solving cases than his own wife and daughter.

3. When the player dies, at certain times Molly gives a small statement about her father. She is aware that Peter is dead. These snippets are NOT canon to the main story, but are moreso present to introduce the player to a scenario where Peter is dead, and both Sarah and Molly are left to cope with the loss. In this snippet, she speaks about how Peter's death has affected her mother.

  • [quietly] Daddy was always busy working. Too busy to spend time with me.

  • [softly] Mommy's very sad because Daddy's dead. I miss him. I want him to come back.

William Battersworth

William Battersworth, 65, is the owner and CEO of the "Dog 'n' Mouse's Food and Fun" restaurant. He was the prime suspect in the Dog Night Shooting investigation that was closed in May 1985, but was ruled out as the potential shooter within a few days. He knows what happened to Michael Schmidt on the day of his disappearance, and yet he had nothing to do with the incident. His primary aim is to keep what happened a secret from everyone and anyone, and he is willing to go to extreme measures in order to achieve that goal. You mainly hear him through the various phone calls he will be giving you each night, and he also takes part in a variety of different trailers.

William is sinister, selfish, and incredibly posh. I want him to give off a rather aristocratic vibe.

A posh British accent is MANDATORY for this role, please don't apply if you can't pull that off.

Some context to these three lines:

1. You'll find this line in the first teaser trailer. In this trailer William is being interrogated over the murder of a former Cat 'n' Dog employee. He is not very co-operative and is refusing to answer questions about his alibi. Nonetheless, despite all the pressure from Peter Marks and his assistant Peter Davidson, he remains calm and content.

2. This is a snippet from the Night 1 phone call. He has installed a camera inside your office which allows him to watch your actions closely throughout the night. He gives you a different call each night depending on your actions during the previous night. If there's something he doesn't want you to look at, he will make it very clear.

3. Also a snippet from Night 1. Here he discusses the bolted-up "emergency door" located behind the player. It serves no purpose whatsoever but is there for the player to look at. William tries very hard to avert the player's attention away from the back door throughout the course of the week. Therefore its easy to tell that he's rather uncomfortable when talking about it.

  • I was at the restaurant, watering the petunias. The petals tend to darken and dry out a little bit once you get halfway through the week, so I like to spend the night making sure the flowers are properly cared for – and still alive.

  • I can see you, you know - you can't see me of course, but I'm closely watching your every move.

  • There's an emergency exit behind you - but for some reason, it's been bolted up. So - if you do have to evacuate the building for whatever reason, don't count on leaving through the back. That is, of course, unless you have an incredibly strong hammer. [quietly] Or some explosives.

Martin the Mouse

One of the main stars of the show. Martin is a mouse (who would have guessed) with a very energetic and upbeat, albeit slightly psychotic personality. 

You won't hear him until at least Night 2. He occasionally dashes towards your office and hides behind you. To scare him off, all the player will have to do is look behind him for a small amount of time, while keeping both the security door and the vent wide open. This, of course, gives the other robots a window of opportunity to enter your office and finish you off.

Sarah Marks

Sarah Marks is the charismatic, loving and thoughtful wife of Inspector Peter Marks. She is always by his side and is always there for her husband should problems arise. However, once Peter takes on this new case, things change. His behaviour becomes more irrational and erratic, so much so that Sarah grows increasingly worried as the week progresses, eventually leading her to urge Peter to drop the case. Unfortunately however, Peter has already deteriorated to the point of no return, and his diminishing state of mind causes his relationship with Sarah to deteriorate as the week goes on.


Some context to these three lines:

1. When you die during a night, the animatronic pushes you backwards into the floor, and for a few seconds your character's vision goes blurry. During this time, you hear the voices of your wife (Sarah) and young child screaming in grief and anguish as if they had just witnessed his murder. It's a harrowing experience for the player, as they get to experience the effect that death has on the other characters. 

2. Sarah is getting increasingly worried about Peter's mental state after taking up this case. She's come to a conclusion that the best decision for him is to drop the case and take some time away from his job.. This does not work, and only deteriorates his mental state further.

3. Peter is about to go into what is meant to be his "final" shift, and his irrationality and erratic behaviour have driven Sarah up the wall. An incredibly heated argument ensues between the two, eventually leading to Peter deciding to storm out of the house in a fit of confusion and rage.

  • No! Peter... PETER!!! [crying]

  • Peter, perhaps it's for the best that you just drop this case. I know he was close to you and all, but you're going insane. I'm worried about you.

  • [angrily] This case has changed you, Peter! It's like I don't even know who you are anymore...

Wesley the Wolf

Wesley is... rather old. He's a wolf who speaks in snippets from stories, mainly heard sometimes after the player dies, but sometimes, very rarely, you'll hear his voice as you start a new game.

After playing through the main game, you soon realise that Wesley's stories are about Peter Marks and his family.

  • Let me tell you a story about the man who has since been erased from existence.


    He was loved by all for what he did, putting bad people in places for even worse people.


    But one day, he had finally met his match.

  • Let me tell you a story about the demon who was very good at hiding.


    He kept himself hidden from sight, only appearing at night to feast on the souls of good people.


    And anyone who tried to find him disappeared.

Harry the Husky

Harry is the main character in the Dog 'N' Mouse restaurant. Therefore, his voice must reflect his status as leader of the pack. He doesn't speak very often, but when he does, it's integral to the story.

He is arrogant and will often torment the player, belittling them. He will do whatever it takes to make the player feel terrible about themselves, and stop them from carrying on.
