The Longest Brawl: A Smash Bros. Series
Project Overview
The Longest Brawl is an upcoming fan-based animated series based on the Super Smash Bros. video game series created by Nintendo. Heavily influenced by anime such as Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and Kill la Kill, the series follows the adventures of Ness and his ongoing mission to protect the multiverse from the evil forces of Master Hand and the Subspace Army. With Palutena (the Goddess of Light) as his guide, Ness must bring together a ragtag team of warriors to save the world and find the mystical Smash Ball before it falls into the wrong hands.
The Longest Brawl is a project many of us at Studio Kazoku are passionate about and with nearly 24 episodes planned and currently being written, we need your help to make it happen!

Vocal Range: Medium-High | Ness is the psychic-wielding hero of the Super Nintendo classic Earthbound. Strong willed, optimistic, and incredibly hot-headed, Ness will risk all or nothing to protect those he loves. It's no wonder he's the main star!
*Cocky* Dark monsters? Ancient prophecies? Heh. Nothing I can't handle! This day just gets better and better, doesn't it?

Voice Range: Medium-High (Callie), Medium-Low (Marie) | Keeping the streets of Inkopolis fresh, Callie and Marie are the enigmatic duo from the popular Wii U game Splatoon. Making cameo appearances in Episode 18 of The Longest Brawl, Callie and Marie inform our heroes of an apocalyptic invasion of the city being conducted by an evil race of beings known as the Octarians. To save the city from impending doom, The Squid Sisters enlist Ness and company in a 4 on 4 Turf War against the Octarians. Things only get weirder from there.
Callie:Those Octarians are super lame, ya catch our drift?Marie:Yeah, they like disturb my vibes. Soooo not fresh.
Marie:There's only one way this can be settled... Both: TURF WAR!!!
Both: Remember Inkopolis... Stay Fresh!
Voice Range: Low | Sworn protector of the universe, Samus Aran is a lone bounty hunter and protagonist of the Metroid series. In The Longest Brawl, Samus is the leader of the Star Fox Clan (this series' equivalent to Nudist Beach from Kill la Kill), an independent resistance fighting against Master Hand's forces. The living definition of efficient and badass, Samus knows her way around nearly every situation but often takes herself a little too seriously. Don't get her started on that baby Metroid!
My name is Samus Aran. I'm the sworn leader of a small resistance group known as the Star Fox Clan. I see you've already met Fox and Falco. How unfortunate.

Voice Range: Medium | Monita is the mechanical tour guide found in the Wii U game Nintendo Land. In The Longest Brawl, Monita makes an appearance in the pilot episode as a tour guide who welcomes Ness to the titular theme park when he stumbles into another dimension following after Kumatora.
Welcome to Nintendo Land! I am Monita, your futuristic tour guide. Would you like to purchase a day pass for extended pleasure?
Voice Range: High/Medium-High | Much like the Villager, Isabelle comes from theAnimal Crossing series and appears in Episode 13 of The Longest Brawl. She primarily serves as the Mayor's personal assistant. Unlike her boss, however, Isabelle is timid, shy, and is usually reluctant to go along with the Mayor's crazy schemes.
Mr. Mayor, I regret to inform you that your approval ratings have gone down since we decided to put a casino next to the recreational center.
I know that the Mayor can seem like he only cares about himself, but deep down, he really does care about everyone in town. I don't know where I'd be without him.
Voice Range: Medium-High | The Villager from Animal Crossing makes an appearance in Episode 13 of The Longest Brawl. In the episode, Villager is pitted against Captain Olimar in a competition to help the local residents with designing the best houses. Fearing that his position as Mayor may be jeopardized if Olimar wins, Villager plans to win by any means necessary.
So that space nerd Olimar wants a healthy competition, does he? I'll show him!
My approval ratings are down this week? What do these idiots expect out of someone who doesn't even have a license to run for mayor!?
Voice Range: Low; Something akin to JK Simmons | Captain Strong is the chief police officer of Onett, Ness' hometown. Ruthless, and one who plays strictly by the book, Captain Strong makes an appearance in the first episode of the series.
What're you doing outside past your bedtime, youngin?! Kids like you should be inside playing Nintendo games!

Vocal Range: Medium-Low | Kumatora is the Princess of Osohe Castle and one of the main protagonists from the critically acclaimed Mother 3. Tomboyish and independent, Kumatora is a force to be reckoned with and yet somehow still manages to be an incredible friend.
Be careful, Ness. I'm sensing a lot of kinectic energy nearby. Best be on your guard.

PSI isn't something you can throw around willy-nilly. You gotta feel it or something like that.
Voice Range: Medium-Low | Fearless leader of the Greil Mercenaries and main protagonist of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Ike plays a more supporting role in The Longest Brawl, serving as one of Samus' teammates and Lucina's crush. Capable of fighting his way through a battle with sheer force and power, Ike proves that more often than not pure brawn can't get you far in life. He also fights for his friends, apparently.
Oh please. You fight like my mom. Sorry, mom.
Most of the time, I have a bunch of ladies following me around. I really don't know why though. Could be the sword. Ladies like giant weapons, right?
