Spunky Latino Woman who is headstrong and able to kick some serious butt.

  • The Earth you knew is not the Earth I lived in. My Earth was hundreds of

years after yours. It was one filled with chaos. Our greatest problems were

not nuclear warheads or biological weapons. Those ones were the first

problems that were solved, including poverty and health problems. The United

States succeeded in becoming a United Earth. Now, after years of all-out war, then

minor altercations between and Earth and her surrounding galaxy neighbors, the

talks of peace began again. We should have a United Galaxy. I’m not a pessimistic,

not all of the time, but I could have told them that it was never going to work. We

were too different from our planetary neighbors.

  • We just got back from yet another Planetary Summit to discuss about peace

between the different planets in our galaxy. They had become necessary, especially

after the incessant war between the planets had resulted in Earth’s

regression.most of the major wars were waged when I was a little girl. Many people

lost one person or the other during that time. People were displaced, or just simply

had no means to survive. Many died during that time until the government

intervened. Many years after, the long-awaited peace talks were finally in the

works. The only problem was, the peace talks failed and opinions were divided on

the matter. I was not too surprised by how events played out. Each planet wanted

different things; each in pursuit of their own agenda. It was too easy to move from

gentlemanly discussions, to loud shouts across the room and threats against

Planetary leaders. I would never have believed such things possible, if I had not

witnessed them myself. Even on our own small war ship tempers flared and the

crew struggled to see reason with those in command, especially after they found

out the results of the peace talks.

  • It was not long before several crew members plotted a mutiny to overthrow the

ship's command. I can’t say their betrayal was not without justification. You see,

only a week earlier, one of the aliens involved in the peace talks essentially

committed mass genocide on one of Earth's space colonies. Even with the advanced

Technology we had acquired through interplanetary trade, he had bypassed the

colony’s scanners. By the time, they discovered the bot he had placed on the

colony’s central core, it had been too late. Some of the ship’s crew had lost family

members that day. Somehow, they assumed that our roles as Earth’s elite squadron

gave us permission to exert vengeance on their behalf. Unfortunately for them, we

were pawns in this interplanetary war, as much as they were. That was all that was

needed to cause a tenuous situation to escalate. With all that grief, and no way to

express it; especially with the manner in which the Peace talks ended, it was hardly

surprising that the crew members decided to matters into their own hands; starting

    with us.
