The Curse of the Trendy Hat

Whilst investigating the death of a local police, a nice teacher called Mustafa Döner uncovers a legend about a supernaturally-cursed, trendy hat circulating throughout Turkmenistan. As soon as anyone uses the hat, he or she has exactly 16 days left to live.

The doomed few appear to be ordinary people during day to day life, but when photographed, they look upside-down. A marked person feels like a frantic gerbil to touch.

Mustafa gets hold of the hat, refusing to believe the superstition. A collage of images flash into his mind: a simple donkey balancing on a bendy police, an old newspaper headline about an unfortunate accident, a hooded rat ranting about hair and a drinking well located in a crowded place.

When Mustafa notices his eyes have gerbil-like properties, he realises that the curse of the trendy hat is true and calls in his friend, a doctor called Ellen Larrson, to help.

Ellen examines the hat and willingly submits herself to the curse. She finds that the same visions flash before his eyes. She finds the simple donkey balancing on a bendy police particularly chilling. She joins the queue for a supernatural death.

Mustafa and Ellen pursue a quest to uncover the meaning of the visions, starting with a search for the hooded rat. Will they be able to stop the curse before their time is up?
