The Armendian Empire
Project Overview
In another world, a man by the name of Armend Garmond is corrupted by The Edge, a powerful force of magic that is said to grant the wielder great power and wealth, and whatever else they desire. His madness results in the death of a King, and so in regicide, the land becomes Armendia.
Garmond's daughter, Helvetica, must team up with an unlikely ally to stop her father from destroying the entire planet with his power-hungry quest for chaos.
The game is a collaboration project with Spazcakes from BTVA, made with RPG Maker VX Ace, and uses mainly default resources that came with the program, combined with music from other games and a shitload of scripts from rpgmaker.net

This is NOT the final deadline for the project, as I am nowhere near done making the game, and it is also one of three projects I am working on at once (and therefore is not a top priority so to speak). This is going to be one of those things where the actors are going to have to keep in touch while I send over scripts of what's done so far. (And a lot of the roles below are well in advance of the character's appearance in the game, so...)
Basically, just make sure you can keep in touch if you are cast. If I send you a script a month or two after you've been cast, make sure you can still record for it.
Note: There will probably be a lot of screaming, crying, and cursing in this project. Also, I'm not looking for a voice with a specific accent or age to it unless otherwise specified.

Helvetica is the daughter of Armend. She was born when he returned to The Edge, and he was expecting a son when he came home.
Finding out his next of kin was a "feeble" daughter, her mother suffered the same fate as Arelius Lirron, and Armend locked Helvetica away in his castle.
Now 17 years old, Helvetica has no one but herself, and hasn't been outside the prison she calls home, nor has met any living being prior to the game's events.
She's polite and soft-spoken, but is frail when it comes to emotions.
(solemn/ashamed/defensive) I know who my father is. You don't have to remind me. The more you do, the more I think about him. And I don't want to think about that monster.
(grateful/gentle) Lillian, you have assisted me so much. I can never thank you enough.
(upset) Why do all these things happen to me?!

Arelius was the king before the rise of the Armendian Empire.
He is a kind, wise, humble, and caring man, in contrast to his dark appearance.
He tends to put his family and subjects before himself, which has earned him a great reputation.
Being one of the Gifted, humans with unique powers, he can easily use the highest forms of magic without their side effects, but cannot use The Edge.
(determined/brave) I fought long and hard to bring this land to its former glory. I will /not/ let you take that away from me.
(formal/kind/voice somewhat raised) Attention, loyal subjects. Your time of suffering and despair is no more. With me as your leader, a bright future is ahead of us.
(curious/somewhat concerned) Why do you seek The Edge, young man? It is a place that many have failed to reach. If you're sure, though, be careful. Those who do find it are never the same.

Voice type: Medium to Medium-Low. Cold, edgy, almost psychotic and detached from emotion
Also known as "Mr. Goodnight", this mysterious figure is a gun-for-hire, who will stop at nothing to collect his bounty... and his target's head.
Cold and maniacal, he enjoys his work a bit too much. Not much is known about his past because no one lives long enough to find out.
His newest weapon is a tamed mechanical beast that he hunts his prey with.
(dark) So, you're looking for someone to permanently silence a few targets, correct? Look no further.
(dark/confident) I'm the best on this planet at what I do. Blades, high-tech weaponry, explosives, hand-to-hand combat, and to top it all off, my best tool yet.
(dark/proud/confident) Meet Hansel. I managed to tame this beast when I was hunting your little pets on Zeskalava*. That island is a joke, so he's my trophy and the last thing your targets will see.

Armend was once a poor man, with barely anything to support him and his family.
After researching about The Edge, he sought out its resources to help his family, not aware of the consequences.
Returning home, he is now a power-hungry tyrant, who loves to see everything before him crumble.
He's very arrogant about his new abilities, which sends fear throughout the whole land.
(dark/evil) Foolish little cur. Your mother gave the same type of resistance before I dealt with her. I will shatter your fragile spine into a million pieces, but first, I will shatter your mind.
(dark/sarcastic) Amusing. Very, very amusing. Please, continue your speech. So far your threats have fallen on deaf ears.
[Pre-Edge] (sane/solemn) My family, my Lord... We are very poor. I would do anything to help... (uncertain) and I've heard that you know things about The Edge...?

Armend's robot army. They are, obviously, emotionless, and are programmed to kill. They used to be programmed for good deeds, but then, well, Armend happened.

The beings that rule over The Edge. They are highly intelligent and powerful, and can enter the minds of mortals. They are immortal, so they like to watch the world crumble at an agonizingly slow pace.
(welcoming/formal) Welcome, traveler, to The Edge. You must have made a long journey to seek us out.
(formal/serious) I assume you have arrived in search of power, magic, spells. We know all, but we do not give away our gifts so easily. An inexperienced mind with such power could bring... (somewhat intimidating) certain death.
(formal/serious) Prove yourself worthy, mortal; we bring forth a gift that you mortals can actually wield. Use it well, for your task will require more than just physical strength. Eliminate King Lirron* and everyone he holds dear.

Voice type: Medium-High to Medium. Upbeat, lively, full of energy, outgoing/optimistic
Lily is the survivor of one of Armend's many slaughters; as he returned to The Edge, her family rebelled against his empire.
When Armend arrived home, he immediately stormed to the Korbell household and murdered everyone in there but Lily, who escaped.
She's one of the few Gifted left in the world.
Despite what has happened, Lily is a bubbly sort of person, who loves to have fun and is full of energy.
(excited/confident) Aww yeah, let's get this party started!
(uncertain/somewhat shaken) I get the feeling that we're being watched...
(confident/cocky) Is that a challenge? Sweet! I'm ready for some ass kicking!

Violet is a mean-spirited girl native to The Edge, so her attitude is no surprise.
She loves to cause problems and make people suffer. In her home, that's considered the right thing to do.
Her main skills are the ability to turn invisible and take the form of someone else to cause even more trouble.
Violet is very proud of her skills and where she's from, but can sometimes be too over-confident to see her own flaws.
(somewhat snappy/upset) So, you want me to go after two "troublesome" teenage girls? Where's the fun in that? Father, are you playing a joke on me or something?
(skeptical) Father, they're around my age. You make them sound like King Garmond*'s nightmares. (cocky/smug) These two are Balskurr** droppings in my books!
