The Guardian & the Defectors of Kaltader
Project Overview
It began as a rescue operation from the frozen citadel of Kaltader led by Tempest Montagnard (A large Bubouncia (mountain-dwelling gryphon)). However, in the process, Tageslicht Blitzstrahl (a fire and thunder dragon crossbreed) to his dismay, leaves behind his younger brother, Tonnerre. In fear of losing his brother forever, he decides to be taken into hospitality of Tempest as they continue on a long and harrowing journey to the mountain city of Yerach.

As the subject implies, this is an official YouTube competitor to HarmonQuest (despite not mentioning the competition in the subject by name but no matter)! I will be offering those I cast to the main cast of player characters if they wish to improv as that character. If not, that's fine, because I will still need voice acting to compliment the player's dialogue, in-game. So bare with me. OK?

If you need to know, yes, it's me: GreenTreeStudios.
Apparently I lost my credentials, so I had to create a new account. I wanted to let you all know before you could assume I'm stealing ideas. Here is my discord ID if needed: GreenTreeStudios#1429
Tempest is determined, concentrated and independent. Initially, she is cold and standoffish, distancing herself from her partners-in-escape. She only looks out for herself and doesn't care if others are left behind. Much of her motivation is fueled from what she perceives as failing to take down the cruel King of Kaltader, Vanitas Sanguis Glacies. As she journeys with Tageslicht Thunderburst (Who she soon nicknames Lumen) she acts as his mentor and maternal figure. Taking him under her wing, Tempest becomes more emotionally open as Lumen acts as a surrogate sibling and helps her see the errors in her approach and realize the mistakes she made throughout her time within the walls of Kaltader. She begins to show compassion and trust in others, instead of relying on herself, and becomes the leader and, to a degree, protector of the other escaped defectors. (Try a Lightning (FFXIII)-like voice, if possible)
(Sternly towards Lumen) I don't have time to babysit some wyrmling , you'll just slow us down.
(Sternly ) You better watch yourself, boy!
*Sighs* Fine, I'll train you. I may not know much about your capabilities, but I will teach you what I can. Only under one condition: You best not get any ideas of running back to Kaltader, for I will have my eyes on you. Am I clear?
Falconer is a sharp-eyed, cunning archer and assassin who would rather be giving orders than following Tempest's orders. Make him sound like a charming yet deceptive individual (in a similar sense to Puss in Boots from Shrek).
(whispers) Are you certain that this will work?
Well... Best of luck...
Are you two alright? I'm not his follower.
So far so good. They all want to fight.
Villian is an anthropomorphic arctic wolf who is a relentless optimist and a self-proclaimed "heroine" who wishes to protect and help anyone in need. Although her heart may be in the right place, her naivety and confidence rub her teammates the wrong way. She talks and acts before thinking, unintentionally causing trouble and putting others in danger. Thus, being second-in-command to Tempest during rescue missions.
Make her sound like a strong and tough female boxer.
Listen, Eta. You keep calm, theirs will follow. Clear?
What's our motto?
Is everyone safe and secure?
I meant the defectors.
Good to hear... Ursae, keep an eye on them and make sure that they get to Tempest's location, safely.
Initially a timid and often tortured fire and thunder wyrm (dragon in our tongue) crossbreed who intends to protect his brother, Tonnerre, from any harm. Until the day of the escape, after Tonnerre falls behind, he grows mournful and fears the worst possible things that could happen to him one thought after another as the journey to Yerach continues. Throughout his journey, he becomes more stern and determined to rescue his brother. (Try an Elijah Wood-esque voice)
(In a mourning tone of voice) You never know what you have until it's gone... from your loved ones, to your right to live. I feared I would have to let him go, someday, but never like this...
Faith Imherzen is a young frost sylphan who runs from her problems, specifically things she can't change (such as how her family was caught in the attempt to escape from Kaltader). Make her sound cute and shy, almost like an japanese voice actress would typically speak.
(Nervously) My name is... Imherzen... F-Faith Imherzen, and I... Also managed to escape from... Kaltader... W-Who are you?
Oh... So I must be no different. I lost a loved one, too... The same thing happened to my parents... They sacrificed their only chance of finding hope just to give me that chance...
Well, it was a pleasure meeting you, too. And, Lumen, I- I'll try. I'll try to watch out for you, if you promise to watch out for me... *Giggles*
Tonnerre is the younger brother of Tageslicht, frightened by the opening of their cell door and often laying on the floor, cold and shivering every day and night that passes by them. Usually relying on his brother to help him stay warm, strong and alive. On the day of Tempest's escape plan coming into full effect, one of the defectors manages to break into their cell room and rescues them both. Only to sacrifice himself and Tonnerre to get Tageslicht a chance to escape the kingdom along with the other defectors. (Try for an easily frightened sort of character)
(Frightfully stuttering) Brother, what's happening out there?
(In shock) Help!! Help me!!
Hyperion is the Grand Wyrm (Ancient Dragon in our tongue) of the mountain kingdom of Yerach, the universally declared birthplace and burial of the Celestial Ones, including Cierge the Apprentice (The Sylphan prophet of Xananávo, himself). Hyperion has been known to be at least 1000 years old hence his tremendous size and, with his age and wisdom, has also been granted his current level of leadership . (Note: Try making him sound as if he were voiced by Patrick Stewart (The voice actor of Drago from DragonHeart 4: Battle for the Heartfire (No need for him to sound dead on, though)).
*Update: I would like to specify that Hyperion is a wise and noble wyrm with a strong sense of humour and also loyal to his allies and pupils.
I can sense an unlikely bond between the two of you, a bond between a mother and her unlikely son...
Master or mother, your bond with that wyrmling is still entwined.
I'm afraid that you will have to continue to hold your responsibility for the wyrmling, as his master... (Speechifying) Tempest Montagnard, you must see through his eyes, feel through his heart, and discover for yourself the true meaning of apprenticeship and masterhood!
Unlike Tempest, his only childhood friend, he has a soft spot for those who were mistreated. Though he is sometimes brash, if not blunt. He is also temperamental and is sometimes confrontational towards those he doesn't trust. He is the one responsible for pinpointing the closest possible escape routes within the citadel walls. (Make him sound like a tough military soldier or tactician ). He is a muscular Silverbeak, just like Tempest.
(Whispering to Tempest) You go on ahead and gather as many defectors as you can, Tempest. I'll keep my eyes peeled for the guards.
(Whispering) Someone's coming, Hurry and rally up the defectors!
Alright, I think I've mapped out the closest escape route from here... I paid close attention to the movement patterns of each passing guard and, more importantly, learned when the guards change shift. Based on the sounds of footsteps within the distance of earshot, I discovered that the hallways somehow interweave into a small network of tunnels that lead to the shifting guard's current location. you must take into account that the guards that shift from one sector to another are possesses a different body structure than the last guard, as if going through a fixed pattern of routes. As for the keymaster... I might have a clue to which one it is, but, for now, we must remain alert until I say that the time is right. Got it?
Inga is independent and upbeat, always ready to help others. In spite of this, she eventually teaches herself the Mallow and Iron Arts in order to learn the power of healing and serve as the escape party's Sylphan nurse until they find the mountain civilization of Yerach.
Maximus, try and find a handful of leaves, and be sure they aren't brightly colored.
*sneers* Because that would indicate that they are poisonous.
Ugh, do you really want him to die!?
Maximus has an interest for studying nature and is very eager to aid Inga in her self teaching of the power of the healing element. He is also a Frost Sylphan, who sometimes likes to pull Inga's leg (as you can tell by the corresponding characters' lines). Otherwise, he is quite the analytical Sylphan. (Try emulating Scott Menville as he voices Max from Dark cloud 2).
And why would I need to be sure of that?
And if I bring any that are poisonous, without realizing, what will happen, then? Okay I'm going! Sheesh, some beings just can't take a joke...
(Thinking out loud) Hmm, let's see... Too thin, too brightly-colored, too thorny, too rough....
Eta is quite the fashionable character for being a part of Y.O.R.K. (Yerach Operatives Rescuing Kaltaderians). His voice is in a higher pitch than an average, rebellious teenager.
Disobedience? We prefer the phrase "standing up for what is right".
The Cold Army is no match for Y.O.R.K!
Vanitas is the cruel and selfish king of Kaltader and its surrounding lands. Willing to withdraw the warm blood of those who question his every whim and feeding said blood to the entity he worships and whom the Celestial Ones who have condemned it aeons past call "Emptiness". He is a 72-lunars old frost wyrm (Ice dragon in our tongue) who prefers to speak in a heavily dramatic tone, especially when using verbal irony.
Kernel Ursae and Tempest Montagnard, you are summoned here for your charges of mutiny and the questioning of authority; for the withdrawal of the Imherzens!
Sing the lyrics in a way that sounds like an uplifting lullaby being sang to a baby brother struggling to sleep. Also reference this piece for tempo and mood: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Or0yKOUXcNo It may not be mine, but it's the closest thing that matches the mood I'm visualizing . I suggest you to start at this time code: 0:54 and stop at 3:29.
I can't move on, even if I try to hold on.
If only I stayed behind with you and held your hand...
I'll return for you, even if I can't go over the wall of ice and stone, I'll remind you that you're never alone.
If I was all you had left, don't feel depressed; just recall I'm always with you even if you can't see me.
From the glaciers above, you will see that you'll hold on, even if it melts down upon you. If you lose yourself, the will to move forward is bound to follow... And with it, we'll one day unite, embracing ourselves until the end is near... Don't cry, for I'll be here for you no matter what...
Emptiness, the god-like entity (In a similar sense to the final boss of a classic Final Fantasy game) who represents the vanity and glory of all who live and breathe! Being one of the many scattered fragments of the true Lord of Darkness, his strength is merely limited.
Try including a distortion effect to his voice to make him sound demonic. Something along the lines of Malefor from The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon.
King Vanitas, what was, once, my power is now yours... For, as promised, I will become one with you!!
I am only a fragment of the true lord of darkness; I am pure chaos! I am vanity, itself! I am the inevitable nihility of all who live and breathe! I... AM... EMPTINESS!!
So even as guardians who will fade from time, again and again, though you may have damned me to the darkest abyss, but I will return to the surface of this universe once more. Reborn in this endless cycle created by the other scattered fragments of the dark lord!
Planning to include some animated visuals for setting, characters, their actions and outcomes. Generally anyone who is capable of animating frame-by-frame.
Say something you think would fit
I need someone who can design the characters and come up with variations of what the characters wear.
