PERSONALITY:

Laela as a character represents: the core duality of Bosmer culture—the conflict between peace and chaos.

Although she is a former assassin who has taken up her sword and arrows on a quest of revenge, Laela is a learned woman who serves as a philosophic adviser to the player.

Her philosophy of peace  is heavily based off of Stoicism and Darwinism--and although she does not like the reality of her philosophy, she is a firm believer to it.

Do not mistake her as lawfully good however, Laela has no regrets on the act of killing and its necessity and believes that suffering is not something bad, but essential to make the person stronger. That steel have a stronger mettle.

Whether she survive her quest at the end however, is up to you.

Voice Direction:

Laela  is in her mid to late 30s in elven years.  Her voice is mature yet still gentle  with a  medium pitch. She often speaks quite calm and resevered. She is a storyteller who often replies in metaphors and in grace. But behind that all there is an affirmative, and somewhat haunting demeanor.

I am undecided on whether her accent should be American, British or exotic (Brazilian/sounds like Jahiera from Baldur's Gate)

Try her lines with the accent(s) of your choice.

Only preference is that you have good audio quality!

  • When I was but a child, a sload (slowed) plague claimed my parents--forced me onto the streets with my father’s blade as my sole companion. I quickly learned that stealing became necessary, and that violence was something I was quite good at.

  • ENOUGH! This ends now!

  • If
that’s how you want to conclude his tale, then it’s not quite bad of an ending.

This is the second audition round for Laela meant for the auditioners made it to the shortlist!

I've given you all feedback in PMs, so feel free to improve on your 1st audition.

The first line is meant to be told as if you are reciting a tale. The second is line is meant to be a follow up on that, once you've asked her to recite all of her stories. The last line are combat lines and meant to sound active and in the midst of battle.

The deadline is April 23rd. If you can't hand in the lines on time here, let me know and I'll be happy to accommodate.

Good luck to you four!

  • Long ago, in the first ages of the Dawn, there were once a great people who lived in a faraway land named Aldmeris (alled-mer-is).

War and chaos was rife in Aldmeris, and soon the land turned to ash and no life could possibly be sustained.

The people had to leave, else they would perish. They began what was called the great Migration.

Many died trying to find a new hope, but some were some fortunate enough to reach a new land. They saw it in the rise of the sun, and named her after its welcoming shine.

    They called her Dawn’s Beauty. Tam-Rielle (Tam-Ree-Elle).

  • They were meant as sleeping tales that I one day hoped to
tell to my son, whence he was old enough.

    That…never came to be.

  • SLAY THEM ALL!

    OUTMATCHED!

    BRACE YOURSELF!
