"When I wish upon a star...I will become the person I have always wished to be?"
Terrance Terribly Troubled is a dramatic slice of life and
shoujo-inspired animated series of a meteor shower raining above a small
town in Japan known for their starry skies. Residents are told to "wish
upon a star" every shower. When protagonist Terrance follows a meteor
that seems to land rather than burn out, he finds a girl who acts as if
she had been caught in a crime. Crawling out of the crater, the girl
runs off, leaving Terrance terribly troubled. The next morning, the town
is full of life, no one is who they were the day before, and no one
seems to remember who they were the day before. However, Terrance is
exactly the same and hasn't forgotten a thing.
"Are you happy with who you are, Terrance, or do you not know who you are at all?"
Filled with growing friendships, romances, lost memories, and the
pursuit of happiness, Terrance Terribly Troubled is a show of nothing
but self discovery and realizing one's self worth. I am looking for
voice actors who will be able to dedicate themselves to this long-term
as I am a film student on the side. However, I do currently also have
another online web series that I have dedicated years to and am almost
completed with season one. The reason I am stating this is to give
example of how serious I am about the project and that I will be putting
in as much dedication as humanly possible. The series is planned for 13
episodes, ranging from 10-15 minutes per episode.

Terrance is a very apathetic and quiet boy, always trying to find logical ways out of things. I'd like to hear some boredom in his voice, but I also need someone who can show a WIDE variety of emotion. Terrance is our male protagonist so he goes through a big emotional change and I need to cast someone who can take that on.
"Marius, do you remember anything before the meteor shower?"
"What did you do to everyone?! Why is everything so strange?! This is all your fault! Change it, I want my old life back!"
"Teto- thanks. No, the black coffee is fine.
Haha, I like it. Why'd you pick it though, if you don't mind me asking?
Do I remind you of black coffee or something?"
Nicknamed "Mira-chan". The character is visually male in the first episode, however after the meteor hits the town, she is transitioned into female after she wishes upon the star. THIS MEANS that Miraiko is a transgirl. As far as voices go, I will be accepting any vocal range for this character. HOWEVER, PLEASE note that this character is not cross dressing and is identified as a transgendered character. I really don't want to cast anyone who won't resonate with that fact. I would prefer to cast someone who is MtF if humanly possible.
Miraiko is a self motivated, kind hearted, comedic type person. Regardless of vocal range you choose to audition with, please give her some pep in her step!
"Bisei, it's the star town. Up there is the observatory. It's just about
the only reason for any tourists around here. As for those of us who
live here? It's because it's cheap.""Why do I wear acrylics? Well, I bite the heck
out of my nails. But when I have these babies on, they're too pretty to
bite down on.""Terrance! Good morning! You should sit next to me today."
An ill-mannered girl, however terribly loyal to her friends. "Teto" is a dreamer who can make any problem solvable through her creativity. Looking for a medium ranged voice. Occasionally slurs her words due to talking quickly.
"Illumi, whaddya say we match yukata for the festival?"
"I wanna learn to make fireworks. Not to
explode in people's faces or anythin', I just wanna give Mira-chan the
best birthday ever!""Ehehe, I don't mean to toot my own horn, but I could totally win any UFO catcher prize I wanted to!"
Guru is a childish, yet very wise character. He is full of surprises, so don't underestimate him. Most of the time though, he is rather air-headed and optimistic, forgetting to do his homework but saying a peppy "oh well" afterwards.
I have a deeper voice in mind for him, but I am open to hearing anything.
"The picture theatre, that's what we should do today!...Movie theatre?
Ughhhh...it sounds so boring when you call it that. I'll stick with
picture theatre.""Terrance, you're pretty quiet today. The heck's your deal?"
"I had a dream this town was hit by another
meteor and we all forgot who we were. Sounds scary, doesn't it? I'd hate
to forget who I am."
Marius is comes across as a cool, angst-ridden, realist type character, but he is really very loyal to his friends and family and paranoid. Marius is similar to Terrance in the regard he has vague memories of the town before the meteor hit land. Out of the whole cast, Marius is the most emotional.
"Sometimes I see my brother for more than 5 minutes. For me, that's what I call a lucky day."
"Illumi, I feel different. Things have changed
since you've shown up, I can feel it. I can't remember, but I'd like an
explanation from you one day.""Hahaha! You can't pull my leg like that Mira-chan! Unlike everyone else here, I'm not easy to fool, got it?"
