Tales of the Foundation: The Maledictus Files, REBIRTH

Project Overview

As an up-and-coming Youtube series, Tales of the Foundation: The Maledictus Files will mainly be an Audio-Drama/SCP Reading cross. In it, we will be shown the daily life of the enigmatic and terrifying Agent Maledictus, who is preparing for the mysterious "Omega Contingency".  The old series had it's issues, and the Rebirth of this series shall be a more drama centered voice acting project than an SCP reading. 


Not every upload will need more than one voice actor, but many "Episodes" will require two-three voices. Previous Voice actors who have been previously cast for certain roles have a priority, and some roles are exclusive to certain Voice Actors.  That being said, however,  I am more likely to re-cast/message someone who has been previously cast for roles, even if those roles they had initially been cast for had only a few lines. Give it your all, it's always worth it.


Animation/Video pending. If you can animate or draw frames/comics, please feel free to contact me as well. You will be given the voice lines to work with as well as be a great help to the project.


Here are the requirements:


  • Voice Actors must have a decent-great audio recording device/software. It does not matter what you have to use to record, as long as it can either produce decent sound quality.

  • Voice Actors should have a decent recording area with low levels of background noise (static, talking, cars and traffic).

  • Voice Actors must have general knowledge of how to clean up Audio in Audacity (Tutorials available if needed).

  • Voice Actors must know how to act, with emotion.

  • Voice Actors must have a decent upload schedule, and will be notified three weeks before the deadline to ensure that scheduling shouldn't be an issue.

  • Lore and Extended Universe?

    To help clean up inconsistencies and to also flesh out the characters more than an AudioDrama can, I have taken up to writing this project down as a FanFiction as well (I know, I know, just hear me out first). First off, I have been to a literature studies and novella seminar/lecture. I have also written FanFiction before, and while I wouldn't say my fan works top Shakespeare's works, it isn't bad writing either. By writing my own FanFiction, I can post a much more in-depth story that coincides along with the AudioDrama, I can narrow the plot of the overall Project itself, and I can generally flesh out the characters far more than voices or animations can. I will post the link to the FanFiction later on, and you can read if if you're interested, or not if you don't want to. I understand. I know that FanFiction is generally looked down upon because in most cases it is poorly written, if it isn't your thing, that's perfectly fine.

I will not lie to any of you, this role will be difficult to be casted for. First off, I think I should explain why this role will be difficult to be casted for. The thing is, while I'm not looking for professional-level artwork, I'm not going to some accept low-quality assets from unskilled volunteers (that means you Deviantart Nine-year-olds). With this in mind, I cannot accept volunteers unless they meet certain criteria and follow the rules written below.

There will be graphic scenses of violence in this AudioDrama. If you are not comfortable with at least drawing someone with their skull getting crushed, or having a hole punched in them... It would be best if you didn't audition.

If you are contacting me because you would like to volunteer for the project, you must send me an example of your previous work. If you don't, then I will not read or respond to your e-mail due to the fact that I won't know why you're emailing me.

If the subject of your e-mail is vague, I won't be able to locate your e-mail when I need to. The subject of your e-mail must follow this format: Name/Age/Artwork/Skill Level 

Example: Jack/22/Proposed Piece/Non-Professional 

If you are no longer available to work on this project, please inform me. Please don't vanish without saying a word. You don't even have to share your reasons with me if you really don't want to or if they're too personal. Just let me know that I shouldn't bother waiting for you to finish whatever panel or artwork you were assigned with. If you have been given a task, and I don't hear from you for longer than two weeks, I will presume that you have left the project.

On a final note, you will be given audio lines and voice auditions plus their written audio prompts to help with the ease of comic panels. These will contain view angles and or character changes when necessary.

Dr. Anzhela Bridge, an advanced android scientist who created the device keeping Agent Maledictus alive, as well as turning Agent Maledictus into a literal cybernetic monstrosity. While she views him as a scientific experiment/pet, it is no secret that Agent Maledictus has a great deal of hostility for her. The only reason she isn't dead/destroyed by his hand, is because of the fact that Agent Maledictus cannot remain alive or upgrade his mask without her. Something she exploits without mercy.

  • (Calm, scientific) "Good. You are awake. I am Doctor Anzhela Bridge. Before you are admitted out, I must explain to you of your operation, and the enhancements that have been added to you. First, we will start with your lungs. Your lungs were damaged beyond repair. Do not worry. That respirator allows for air to automatically be pushed into your lungs, allowing them to inflate as well. Second; Your right arm was amputated, and has been replaced with prosthetic actuated by powerful hydraulic servo-mechanisms. The forearm and the legs beneath your shins have also received prosthetics of a similar nature.

  • (Still, cold, calculated, yet also slightly amused) "You cannot destroy me. I have made sure that such actions would prove impossible. I keep your prosthetics in shape, as well as your mask. Without me, you cannot get any better."

  • [Instructional] "As I mentioned before, your limbs are prosthetics. It will take some time fore you to adjust..."

D-9341 is a new addition to the SCP-Foundation, after having been falsely accused of murdering his entire family, he was sentenced to death-row. Now working in the Foundation as Agent Maledictus' personal aide, he begins to realize just how far down the rabbit hole he has fallen. At first, he is terrified of his new "Boss", and is treated as basically an unpaid intern, but over time, Agent Maledictus begins to open up more to him. Naive, but not ignorant, D-9431 is definitely smarter than he looks. There is a cunning darkness behind those bright blue eyes, and he is always willing to carry out an order from Agent Maledictus. 

  • (Nervously stuttering) "Y-your coffee sir..." (Notices Agent. M is beginning to suffer side effects from lack of Oxygen, panics) "Sir! your mask! I-I think something's wrong with it!"

  • (Unprepared and still a little nervous) "W-wait... so you want me to... read a document?" (Looks at document) "Um, this is classified information... shou-- Yes sir, right away."

  • (Confident, concerned.) "Sir, you need rest. Staying up like this only hurts you." (Snarky, sassy) "Well; it is currently 3:12, you look more like Darth Malgus than ever especially with the dark bags under your eyes, and you are on Tumblr. You have an Ethics Committee meeting in the morning as well." (In response to Maledictus' snarky remark back.) "I know killing them would make our lives easier, just... go the fuck to sleep."

An old friend of Agent Maledictus that knew him before he became the cybernetic monstrosity the Foundation's staff had come to fear, Supreme Commander of a Mobile Task Force Unit, it would seem that Agent Archangel senses his death approaches, and appears to have a grudge against the Foundation.  His dying wish is for Agent Archangel to enact the mysterious Omega Contingency, but what exactly does this entail for both Agent Maledictus and the Foundation?

  • [Shocked, Sad] "My God... what have they done to you...? They... You... You look... You look like an SCP...

  • [Apologetic] "I'm sorry Tom, I know you love them very much... 


    [In response to Maledictus asking about his team, more depressed] "Killed in Action. Only you and Kat survived... but... She's comatose... they-they don't know if she'll ever wake up... Even if she did, she can't return to duty with only one arm..."

  • [Dejected] "I just wanted to see you before my next assignment. You know that feeling some MTF guys get before their mission and then never come back...


    [In response to Maledictus' denial] "Yep, this one's my last. I'm sure of it."


    [Asking for a favor] "Hey, you remember the plan we made right? The one when we were younger, fresher to the MTF? Yep. That one. Will you do the honors? 


    [confused, slightly insulted] "Why not? The Foundation has taken everything from you... you'll never be able to see your wife and children again... you can never have a normal outside life, Kat is mostly dead, and I'm a dead man walking. Who else can do it? Please... For me. You have my thanks."

An old friend of Agent Maledictus that knew him before he became the cybernetic monstrosity the Foundation's staff had come to fear, she is the only surviving member of Agent Maledictus' task force, woken up from her coma as Agent Maledictus contemplates letting her die in her sleep. His conscience torn between who he is now, and who he once was. It appears that she may have had a crush on the Agent before the ill-fated mission... Perhaps her death at his hands turned Agent Maledictus into the monster he is now?

  • [Strained, tired, just woke up] "Then go ahead... let me die... All you have to do... is unplug that machine... "

  • [Slightly more energy, but still strained] "It's alright, Commander... do it... I've done horrible things... we all have... this is my punishment... I want to go see Tom now..."

  • [Weakening] "No... Tom died in the explosion... what came out.. what is left.... is only... Maledictus..."

Dr. Welsh is one of the unfortunately many victims of Agent Maledictus. Head researcher of the site, he believes he is superior to everyone but the the 05 Council. He carries an importance about him, never outright boastful or overconfident, but there is always a certain smoothness about him. He knows your secrets, and will calmly exploit them if truly necessary. The thing is, Agent Maledictus doesn't care who you are, or what your position is. To him, you are expendable. The unfortunate doctor blatantly ignored the warnings, and paid the ultimate price. However, he may have been marked for death long ago... considering the knowledge he stumbled upon...

  • (Stern, reprimanding) "Sir, it has come to my attention that you have been... reviewing... classified information, Mr. Maledictus."

  • (Disgusted, as if talking to an inferior who stepped out of line, but voice is mainly calm) "No. To me, you are Mr. Maledictus. Or should I rather say Mr. Miller.

  • (Cocky, believes he can get away with what he says next.) "You forget where you stand, Mr. Miller..."
