INTRODUCTION:
Tales of Emaerya is an animated science fiction, fantasy series set on a remote planet across the galaxy from Earth. On Emaerya, magic, fantasy, and reality intertwine. The inhabitants constantly deal with the exciting, charming, and sometimes dangerous combination of forces at work here – that is, until an unseen enemy threatens to conquer their world. In Chapter 1, Rise of the Emerald Moon, multiple vortices plunge through space and time, reaching out to those best suited to aid Emaerya’s cause. Helpless victims are plucked from their normal lives and thrust into the Summoner’s Hall in an ancient castle on Emaerya, where heroes of old were once called upon to do great deeds. Despite their differences, these men and women must somehow learn to work together, become trained for battle, and hardened for the unspeakable horrors which await them.
Chapter 1 of Tales of Emaerya is already partially cast. However, we just couldn't find a good fit for some of the roles and are endeavoring to obtain some great talent through Casting Call Club. We are hoping to release Chapter 1 of Tales of Emaerya via YouTube sometime in 2022. Additional animated chapters will be forthcoming in the coming months, and if we like what we hear from you, we'll be delighted to consider utilizing your talent in the future.
TALENT EXPECTATIONS:
All roles are zero budget; just have fun with this! Credit will be given for each role accepted. Please submit your audition as a .wav file, if possible. Each line should be recorded several times so that we can hear your best effort (3 times is standard). Please make each audition as clear a recording as possible (no fans or traffic sounds in the background, please). We communicate primarily through Discord, but can also speak with you via E-mail and accept final line submissions this way, as well, if the length of the file is too large. A website for Tales of Emaerya is already under way and we will be happy to post accepted talent names there, along with links to your own website, as desired.
We are hoping to wrap up casting by October 1, 2021. This is a hard deadline! No late submissions will be entertained. Obviously, the sooner we complete casting, the faster we can finish Chapter 1.

I smell delicious meat. (moans in delight) Mmmm! Sweet meat!
BIBI

BIBI
Pardon me for interrupting, your Highness, but the demons won’t give up easily. I bet they'll try to come in when you least expect it.
BIBI
I'll take some pastries too!
Bloo is an "in your face" kind of bunny woman. She is brave beyond her years, which frequently gets her into trouble.
BLOO
Have the men flank on their right! Ladies, you're with me!
BLOO
Aye! Ya, ya, ya, ya, yah! Geez! You're a biggun! The bigger they are, the more I crush your face, nu!
Boops is young and shy. Definitely accident prone, but she believes her cuteness will cover any perceived deficiencies.
BOOPS
(giggles) Oopsie, Boops made an oops!
BOOPS
Yeah, Boops wants to celebrate with you.
The Dwarven Ghost, awakened from his slumber, is furious with those who have intruded into the crypt.

General Lox is the seasoned leader of the demon army. He is fearless in battle and possesses many powers in his own right.
GENERAL LOX
Well, the armies have successfully taken most of the southern mountains. But there was an anomaly in Blackwood Hollow.
GENERAL LOX
I am, Sire. However, the evidence points to a sudden disappearance. And we have caught one of the wolves' allies.
George Moore is a human gamer from Earth, inadvertently thrust into the enchanted world of Emaerya. He is relieved to find a few friends in the magical realm and over the course of the tale, begins to live as though he is one of the brave combatants in one of his own games.

(groans) Not right now, Angelique. I'm trying to get some rest.

What happened to us, anyway? One minute I was in the bathroom and the next we’re standing in the middle of some kind of castle. Just look at this place!
GEORGE MOORE
I told you last time that I hate spiders. At least those were mildly attractive. I don't think these will be, though.
Hannah Fairchild is a young mother of three children, living in a medieval village in Emaerya.
HANNAH FAIRCHILD
Yes, honey. It is very pretty.
Henry Renard is an amiable, upbeat sort of fellow and a friend to all of those living in a small medieval village.

Holdar is a senior dwarf, murdered in his latter years. It wasn't bad enough that he found most individuals offensive when he was alive, but must visitors disturb his everlasting rest as well?!

Kamara is a young elf warrior, very accomplished with a bow and arrow and fearless in battle. Her one drawback is that she detests the giant worms who dwell beneath the ground of Emaerya.

Kathryn? Blast this darkness! It’s black as pitch in here.
KAMARA
I hate worms! (mumbling under her breath) Stupid, stupid worms, all wiggly and ugly!
Lucas Fremont is a very creative merchant, able to sell anything for a price.

Morning! Beautiful weather today. Care for some jewelry?
Luthwyn is a young, accomplished elf with a bright future. Well spoken and educated, there is no doubt that he will rapidly climb from guard into the higher echelons of elf society.

Mankato is a brawny bunny man, built like a blacksmith.

Mara Shade, is a young, exotic Pagorian princess. Although astonishingly beautiful, she is also an accomplished warrior, utilizing her feet and hands as weapons as well as a sword or bow and arrow. Mara is regal and resourceful.
MARA SHADE
You're not wrong. But, I was cast out by my people a long time ago.
MARA SHADE
Thank you, but I did not come here to join your quest. I came to warn you. You are being hunted by a powerful dark lord and his minions, the dread lords. Destruction follows them wherever they go. They seek to destroy you for their master.
Mariam has been the village's baker for almost 60 years. She is a competent and accomplished businesswoman.
MARIAM
Sorry, Silas. Not today. I wasn't able to bake anything after the storm last night.
Sakura, a young fox girl, possesses bravery beyond both her years and her strength. Wily and scrappy, you'll usually find her in the middle of any confrontation.
SAKURA
Just a giant demon bent on complete destruction. That’s all.
SAKURA
Darn it! We can't just sit here and wait to be cooked.
Scarlet is one of three spider women dwelling in the depths of a cave in Emaerya. Scarlet far prefers sleeping over scouting for food. Typically, she is so slow on the uptake that she exists on lapping up the scraps of what the other two spiders leave behind.
SCARLET
Hmmm? Is it that time already?
SCARLET
I'll get her.
No one knows exactly how old Shaman Xergog is, and those who have ventured to ask no longer dwell among the living. Although Xergog pretends to bow to demon King Kragg's wishes, he is always on the look out for an opportunity to advance his own interests.
SHAMAN XERGOG
Come. (laughs evilly) We have been expecting you.
SHAMAN XERGOG
You have spirit! Good! Kragg will enjoy crushing you.
Silas Aurelius has lived within the confines of his small medieval village in Emaerya all of his life and he has no interest in exploring elsewhere. He will make do with whatever the villagers produce in the way of foods or other goods.

Oh, well. At least I'll take a chicken.
Starlight is a young, female black and white wolf, and is William's mate. She is brave and resourceful, energetic, feisty.

I wasn't eager. I was just really surprised by all of the attention you were giving me.

I know, but I don’t want you to be all alone up here. Besides, this way, I get to spend more time with you.

How can Bloo jump that high? I guess I need to work on my legs some more.
Sue, a cat girl, is eager for the fun and excitement of night life. She loves a good game and the company frequenting the local tavern.

Come along, Charlie. I think you've had enough to drink for one night.

Well, that was an interesting game, nya.
Willow is the leader of the three spider women dwelling within a cave in Emaerya. She is an accomplished huntress. Very few of the creatures she targets escape her quick legs and sharp jaws.
WILLOW
Hmmmm. I smell prey. Oh, sisters. Dinner!
WILLOW
Oh, what beautiful little morsels. Come here and join my sisters. We're dying to have you for dinner. (deep laugh)
Woona, a bunny woman, acts as sort of a lieutenant in the bunny army.
WOONA
Yes, Bloo?
WOONA
You heard her, ladies. We ride on to battle! Alfalfa!
Zoratlor Solaris was a very accomplished wizard in his day. Kathryn Crane was his most brilliant pupil and their relationship nearly bridged the bounds of teacher and student to become something far more precious.
ZORATLOR SOLARIS
(impatiently, and loud) No, no, Kathryn! You’re missing the point completely. You can’t think about this in layman’s terms. Magic isn’t something which can be created. It is just – (pause, reconsidering and more softly now, chuckling) well, maybe at one point, it WAS created, but certainly not by you or me. (now, more mystical) Magic is everywhere, in the sky, in the mountains, rocks and trees, in the streams, even in the very air we breathe. We are simply among the lucky few possessing the ability to harness this incredible energy. Whether I utilize it to place this cup upon a shelf without budging from my chair, move mountains, or even force two planets to collide doesn’t matter. Not that I would do that, of course, but you get the point. Here. Watch me carefully, and I’ll show you what I mean. Obfubiscadore! (pronounced Ubfoobee-scawdoor) (triumphant) There! You see?
