Project Overview
ProjectAcquire is an original podcast featuring scripts from all kinds of different genres and universes with the real question being who and what exactly is doing the collecting? We have a tentative release date for this summer but we want to spend our time making each script and episode is best as possible. So, we will only be auditioning and working on one script at a time. We invite you to audition for Take Cover!
Take Cover! is set in a humourous dystopian world. The people are unhappy and they’re rioting. The Grand Dietitian wants to take away their sugar, our hero’s will do anything to stop that. Even continue on after the loss of their once great Leader Princess Cadance. Join the heartbroken Rebella and her snarky sidekick as they navigate a war torn candy world.

Rebella is an earnest revolutionary of the people. She works hard, trains hard and tries hard. Her biggest downfall is her potty mouth that she can't quite keep in check. After a major attack took the life of their princess, Rebella has stepped into a leadership role for the first time. As silly as the script gets Rebella should play it serious. She cares about what she is fighting for. Her voice range is medium to low.
The government can not police what we do, what we say and most of all what we eat. Princess Cadance knew our candy kingdom, desired the syrupy sweet substance of sugar. She was committed that the dictation of the Grand Dietitian would not negate our freedom.
(losing her cool) Shut up Dan and stop smirking. I am trying to read this script. We spent three hours writing this, three (bleep)ing hours.
As I was saying? Oh what was I saying? The explosion rattled my brain. We don’t have much time. Private Dan, what were we doing?
Private Dan is somehow both sarcastic and monotone at the same time. It is a wonder and an annoyance to all around him. As much as he truly cares about the rebellion he also cares about getting under the “Boss lady’s nerve”. His voice is deep and almost void of emotion.

(slightly snarky) Something about the late Princess's glossy hair.
I mean WE are the sugar society.
