Project Overview
Description:In the sand scorched desert Tempest mercenaries have been dispatched to end the Whitlock anarchist movement without the state ever becoming officially involved. An easy job. What could possibly go wrong?

A secretive young woman who helps Tempest from time to time and harbours a deep seated hatred for Whitlock.
Line 1: "Sure, I can get you in. But why should I?"
Line 2: "Are you out of your mind, Steele? What possessed you to bring Malik Whitlock's attack dog into my camp?"
Line 3: "It was a pleasure . . ."
Doug's younger brother and Will's friend. Var mostly listens to conversations rather than participating himself.
Line 1: "Yeah, I guess . . ."
Line 2: "I say Will should do it."
Line 3: "Ya know he deserves it, deep in your heart I know you agree."
One of Malik's trusted lieutenants, sent to deliver messages that Malik doesn't want made public knowledge. Later he become Malik's right hand man
Line 1: "Name's Aaron, but Malik likes to call me Laertes."
Line 2: "Don't s'pose you're gonna thank me, or anything crazy like that?"
Line 3: "I have a message for you, straight from Malik."
Steven and Will's uncle and their state contact while in the desert. A serious man with a soldier's gruff speech pattern and total conviction to his course of action, even when it is potentially wrong.
Line 1: "At ease, Steven. What news do you have of Whitlock?"
Line 2: "A soldier's place is to follow orders, not question them. I had hoped you would have learnt that by now."
Line 3: "MAKE YOUR OWN BASED ON YOUR INTERPRETATION OF THE CHARACTER"
Steven and Will's father, despite being middle aged his lifestyle has left him withered and decrepit.
Line 1: "Stevie . . . Is that you?"
Line 2: "(Screams and grunts of pain)"
Steven's best friend and second in command. Laid back and a joker, but fiercely loyal to his friends.
Line 1: "You finally gonna come play with the big boys, Will?"
Line 2: "Come on, man. You can't be serious."
Line 3: "Hey back off, Burton! Steve's way better than your precious Whitlock."
A snivelling toadie who wants to gain glory but is posted to a small town garrison due to his mediocre abilities. Drake is later given a substance named Harmony, which turns him into a hulking brute.
Line 1: "Maybe it would be better to (Cowers under Red's glare) . . . Do exactly as you said. You're in command after all."
Line 2: "Listen up you lot, this is Commander Burton and she deserves your total respect, understood?"
Line 3: "(Grunts, snarls and roars)"
A small time criminal who thinks his thugs make him powerful.
Line 1: "Long time no see, you come for a job?"
Line 2: "My old priest used to say 'Only a heathen brings a gun to a knife fight.'"
Line 3: "Get him!"
Characteristics/Notes: Will is a shy young man who despite working as a mercenary, prefers battlefield analysis to combat.
Line 1: "I don't know, Steve. This is a pretty big gamble."
Line 2: "According to my calculations we'd be better off ignoring Burton and heading straight for the garrison."
Line 3: "My brother thinks he has to carry the world on his shoulders, but I'll always have his back. I just hope he knows that."
Tempest's leader. Carefree and cheerful to the point of overconfidence, Steve can be occasionally rash and the guilt of his mistakes weigh heavily on him.
Line 1: "Everyone okay?"
Line 2: "Piece of cake."
Line 3: "I've been waiting a long time for someone like you. Let's hope you live up to my expectations."
A military genius with no compassion and far too much pride, Red starts off as Whitlock's second in command, but later defects to help Tempest after striking a deal with Steven
Line 1: "(To the crowd of recruit) I don't coddle. Under my tutelage you sink or you swim, but rest assured if you swim, you will be the best."
Line 2: "Steven Steele, magnanimous as your profile suggests. It will almost be a shame to kill you"
Line 3: "I AM THE BEST. NO ONE ELSE. DO YOU HEAR ME?"
A suave and charming leader who when pushed reveals himself to be a heartless monster. Malik uses emotional manipulation to inspire loyalty in his followers.
Line 1: "There is no one I trust more than you, that's why you're my right hand. I know you can do anything because you are the best."
Line 2: "Please, Darling Robin, forget these cutthroats and come back to me. All is forgiven, I promise."
Line 3: "(Happily) Now we'll play a little game, you try to figure out my riddle, and for each wrong answer I'll kill one of your friends"
