Project Overview
Synopsis: After countless runs in with the police, many detentions, and many warnings, Cynthia and Shane Carter decide to take it to the next step with their son, Alec Carter's, punishment. They decide that the best option is to send him off to boarding school but with a twist. With Alec's lousy track record, his parents are aware that he most likely won't get into one so they have Alec's twin brother, Jace, who already goes to a boarding school switch places with Alec. Alec would be at the boarding school pretending he's Jace and Jace would stay in town and pretend he's Alec. With pressure trying to live up to Jace's standards comes with a lot of drama. Will Alec end up fooling everyone into thinking he's Jace or will the truth come out and put the family in legal jeopardy?

Alec is a rebellious seventeen year old senior in high school. Mischief seems to always follow him and he doesn’t seem to mind it. The adrenaline runs through his veins every time he does something bad. He’s a pretty sarcastic and flirtatious guy. An extreme player, not caring who he hurts. He’s a bit selfish and arrogant. He also loves parties and adventures. He is a very “let’s stay in the present” type of person
Relax. You can trust me. Just because I've broken it like twenty times before doesn't mean it's gonna happen again. That was just a pre-trial.
(flirtatious) So, aside from taking my breath away, what do you do for a living?
Nobody cares about your nerd school, Jace. In fact we’re all happy you’re going back on Monday so we don’t have to hear you talk about your boring nerd school again.
Jace is a very intellectual person. His passion is school as he hopes to become a neurosurgeon one day. His biggest dream before that is to attend Harvard. He’d been wanting to go there since he was seven. Therefore, grades have always been important to him and anything that gets the mind thinking. He’s never really done “spontaneous” things due to his constant studying and staying in the house. The only fun entertainment he’s experienced is watching youtube videos and tv shows. Though, most of the time, those videos are educational.
You don’t get it, Alec! This isn’t just some nerd school! This school is getting me closer and closer to my dream. I get you don’t have aspirations but I do! My grades are important if I want to go to Harvard! My reputation is important if I want to go to Harvard! I can’t have you screwing that up for me like you /always/ do.
(gloating) Are we forgetting the delinquent has an awful track record? He couldn’t even get into a boarding school if he tried. I mean not with those grades and suspensions he has. But luckily for you guys, one of your sons turned out right. Accepted to the best boarding school in the nation.
(sarcastic) Aww and here I thought I was the smart twin. (normal) Yes I do, dingus. I need to push it back to 7:00 so I can get a total of nine hours of sleep. Then I’ll wake up at 5:00 and get the day started off by a healthy breakfast and study to get the mind flowing three hours before school.
- Holly-Drake is the most popular girl in school and she knows it. She’s extremely entitled and always gets her way. She’s very manipulative and mean. She doesn’t care who she hurts as long as she gets what she wants. She comes from and extremely rich family who owns a worldwide oil business. Though living this lavish life comes with a price. To become even richer, she’s set to marry Charles Sterling. She isn’t the happiest about the decision but she’s learned to accept it.
I told you to stop being nice to be people, Gigi. Now people think we’re approachable. You deal with this. (walks off)
Or this conversation could end in one, two, three, oh look at the time. It’s exhausted from fraternization with losers like you. See you, miss you, never.
(brushing it off) I don’t want to be a buzzkill- which I probably already am so let’s just go get a drink or something.
Like Jace, Catalina is very into her studies but not because school is her passion. She is trying to make a good life for her family as they suffer from poverty. If she could get an academic scholarship to a really great school and get a high paying job, her family would be in much better shape. Therefore, even though she’s interested in the party scene, she holds her urges to focus on school and stay out of trouble. She’s a very witty person and always puts others' happiness before hers. it often makes her feel like a punching bag though.
(rambling) Thank you for doing that. I have been waiting for some alone time and wanted to tell you about this picture perfect date I have planned for use.
(hurt) You’re breaking up with me?
I have this thing for collecting different types of flowers. It's therapeutic.
Pierce is the kind of guy who likes to stay in the shadows because he feels it’s the best way to not be targeted by people like Charles. He’s a pretty funny guy who’s a bit of a dork. He’s a bit awkward as well. He’s pretty good at creating plans to get out of stuff as well, though doing stuff like that makes him very nervous. But he’s your go to guy if you need anything.
Harmless my ass. If the devil had a daughter, she’d fit the roll. You must’ve hit your head on a hard metal door to let that slip your mind.
But she’s with-! (sighs) Why do I even try at this point?
Piper and Stone are bad news! Are we forgetting about the time he ate a live duck? The countless times he was expelled from other schools!? And if you’re trying to get in with Holly-Drake being friends with Piper isn’t going to work. They’re mortal enemies.
Gigi is best friends with holly-drake. Though she’s way nicer but extremely talkative. She talks more than she should. She’s the person you shouldn’t tell your secrets to as they will come out. It’s not even like it’s on purpose, it just slips out. She’s pretty bubbly and always seems to make people feel more comfortable.
You literally just had two boys fighting over you and you seem so unphased. I mean if this happened to me, I’d literally be sooooo invested and would definitely instigate. I just love drama but like… not messy drama but messy drama if that makes sense.

Piper is pretty rough around the edges and very short tempered. An extremely raging hothead. Odd enough she didn’t always used to be this way. She used to be one of the preppy popular people and best friends with Holly-Drake and then all of a sudden they weren’t friends with each other anymore and no one knows why.
You like Holly-Drake? Good luck with that. She's nothing but a traitor. Trust her and get cut. I would think my words would mean a lot since we used to be friends... best friends actually.

Charles is a grade A asshole filled with major a insecurity issue. He is the first out of the seven children of the Sterlings which has made him feel a bit out of place as he hadn’t ever received the most attention. He’s extremely possessive, especially over Holly-Drake. He’d been in love with the girl even before they were set to marry one another in which they would in a couple years. He’s captain of the football team as well and has an extreme passion for it. He wants to go into the nfl but he knows since he’s the first born sterling, he has no choice but to take over the family business so that’s out of the question.
(intimidating) What do you think you're doing?
Next time you even talk- Matter of fact, even LOOK at my girlfriend, your little secret comes out, Jace. Or should I say... Alec.
(sighs) It's almost like no one cares what I want or what I feel. It's always what's best for the family but not what's best for me.
Stone is the bad boy in school. he deals, he steals, everything you can think of. he doesn’t have a conscience at all. Many people in school are afraid with him, especially with the amount of people he knows- or at least the school thinks he knows. With the amount of rumors he has floating around about him, it’s easy for people to believe. He doesn’t mind though as it causes people not to even try to mess with him. His girlfriend also happens to be Piper.
What kind of lame rumor is that? I never ate a live duck. But just for that, I might.
So here's the rundown, preppy, we're gonna sneak into the principals office and then turn off the security cameras. Then steal one of the keys to have access to the door and then boom, we take pictures of the answer sheets.
(annoyed) I don't know what kind of game you're playing but you're gonna lose so don't even try.
Cynthia is a pretty present mother and always tries to do the best for her kids even though some of her ideas are a bit… not the brightest. She’s very family oriented and really strives for her family to be the “picture perfect” family even though they are far from it. This leads to her always covering up things. Though it’s still a mystery to how she even does it.
You’ve left us with no other choice, Alec. Since you won’t listen to your father and I or the police, maybe you’ll listen to your brother. Now your father and I are going to sleep and there will be absolutely no appeals. Goodnight.
(sad) There's no other way to say this but... Your dad left... He won't be coming back. I'm sorry.
(frantic) The police are here! Go hide! I got this.
Shane isn’t as present as he’d want to be, being the father of two kids. He has extremely long working as a sales manager for a car dealership. He isn’t as happy with how his life turned out and his job occupation but he tries pushing through for his family. You can often find him at bars drinking his sorrows away.
(stern) That shit may work with your mother but not with me. Living room. Now.
Cynthia I can't do this anymore. The lies, the cover ups, and now this? I don't want to be apart of this. And I honestly don't think the kids should be either.
And get this, if he gets in trouble one more time, he’s going straight to juvy. There’s no getting him out of this one Cynthia.
