Star Wars: Shattered Empire
Project Overview
Introducing my next Star Wars comic dub: Star Wars Shattered Empire. This is part of the Journey to the Force Awakens series and takes place right after Return of the Jedi and goes to about 4 months after it. This should be fun. Some of the roles have already been cast. The Force, it's calling to you.... to audition!!!
P.S. Be prepared to possibly revise your roles for future comic dubs. This is especially true for the main characters from the Original Trilogy that you all know. Also I've posted a demo of a previous project to give you an idea of what this project will look like.

Shara is the mother of Poe Dameron who we will see very soon in The Force Awakens. She should sound determined, tough, but still motherly and compassionate. Have fun creating your own interpretations for this character. This is the first female role of my dub series. Ladies, do your best!

It's the Imperials… It's an Imperial remnant, it's got to be, Princess. Palpatine's finally come for Naboo, even if he's doing it from beyond the grave. If they're altering the weather around the planet then we're talking about an orbital array of some kind.
This is Princess Leia. What more can I say? I think it's safe to say that if you are audtitioning for this part, it's because you know Leia. Do your best to sound like Carrie Fisher. Be tough, compassionate, smart, a leader, all those things that make Leia who she is.
So you're the one who drew the lucky straw. Very well… Let's get this over with.
Naboo represents the best of the Old Republic. Its assistance-- your assistance, your highness-- would be invaluable in leading the way to a restoration of the senate. As we attempt to form a new government, we hope we may rely on Naboo's support, counsel, and aid.
I put up this picture because we don't actually see his face in this comic. He's only briefly seen in the space battle above Endor in the Return of the Jedi and dies during that battle. He's the one that crashes into the Star Destroyer bridge and sends it spiraling down towards the atmosphere in the film. This comic starts during that battle and continues after it.

Green Group, let's see if we can sting that Super Star Destroyer. Green Four, want you tight on my wing.
L'ulo is a Duros, just like Cad Bane from the Clone Wars. I will be putting a filter on whoever is cast to sound like Cad Bane did. If you already have a nice filter that you think would fit, feel free to submit your audition with that. He's a great military leader and is trying to tell Shara to settle down and be with her family. He keeps telling her that she's done enough for the Rebellion and that she deserves to enjoy peace.
I would have you know that my face is considered quite short for one of my people.
Shara, you and Kes have done more than your fair share. It's mustering out, it's not desertion. Besides, it's already done, should be cleared within the week. It's past that time you and your family got to live the lives you've been fighting for. Time for you to pick out a world to settle on, Lieutenant.
Sakas is a comrad of Kes Dameron on the Pathfinders. They seem to fight alongside each other a lot. (I wonder if Shara gets jealous, or does she even know about Sakas?... but I digress) Make her sound tough and determined.
Kes? How's it look?
Time to earn our pay. Armed and ready.
The Messenger is a droid, I think, who is delivering a message that the Emperor recorded as a failsafe in event of his death. Be creative here, you can do a male or female voice. Just sound like a droid. Use your own filter to make it sound cool if you want, but this isn't required because I will choose the final filter later.
You are Duvat. You will verify with blood.
You are verified. My message is for you, from the Emperor himself. Hear and obey.
You guys know Han. At this point, he's no longer the smuggler looking out only for himself. He's formed a real friendship bond with Luke and a romantic bond with Leia. He is also now a full-fledged rebel now. He's a General leading his own team: the Pathfinders.
Don't talk with your mouth full, Chewie.
Well, I hope everyone got a good night's sleep. If not, I've got just the cure. Signal intelligence just finished decryption on a batch of imperial transmissions broadcast before what was left of their fleet turned tail and ran. The good news is that they're in total chaos. The bad news is we've got an imperial holdout on the far side of the moon... and they're dug in, waiting for an opportunity to counterattack.
Queen Soruna is to me an interesting character. She's the queen of Naboo after the Battle of Endor. I find that really intriguing. She dresses just like Queen Amidala did. Later on she takes off the headress and the heavy makeup so she can participate in an orbital battle to defend Naboo. When she's speaking as the queen in her official capacity, dressed up and all, she should have a very proper British accent (sorry I don't know what else to call it) like Padme did as Amidala. But when she gets casual, she should have a normal "American" accent.
We have mourned what was lost for so long now, it seemed to us it might never be recovered. Palpatine's stain is heavy on our people, and we carry that shame still. Your visit, your words, are honey not just to ourselves, but to our people, Princess Leia. How could we don anything less than give our full support to your proposal? How could we do less than to accept your invitation eagerly?
Captain Korro, your objection is noted… but I would no sooner ask one of them to sacrifice what I am unwilling to sacrifice myself. Continue the evacuation of the city, Captain. The fire combat teams are to remain only until the last of the civilians is seen to safety.
General Madine is seen briefly in Return of the Jedi during the Rebel briefing scene. Once again, he only has a brief role here. Only one line.
Your efforts in combating Operation: Cinder have been instrumental in saving countless innocent lives. That said, as much as Admiral Ackbar and I wish we could tell you the end is at hand… we see no respite from hostilities at this time…
Lieutenant Gulin is the right hand man of Captain Duvat. Any accent is fine, but I'm thinking he should probably have a British accent of some sort.
The Messenger has arrived. Clear the bridge!
Jamming at full-power, Captain. Climate disruption array now at twenty percent. We count three class-five hurricanes already, another dozen forming.
Wiley only has a few lines. Apparently Shara Bey was using her A-Wing. She seems really protective of her ship and a little demanding. I mean, it's not Shara's fault that she got fired on, it's the Empire's, as she says so herself.
Lieutenant Bey, what did you do to my A-Wing?
I'm gonna have to pull the whole port engine array!
Kes is the father of Poe and the husband of Shara Bey. Do your own interpretation of the character. He's a talented military leader on the Pathfinders, which is led by General Solo.
Tuck, I got you another medkit. Maybe there's something in there that'll stop you flirting with my wife.
I'm asking myself all those questions I never let myself ask before. Such as, what do we do now that it's over? I was thinking we need to find a nice planet and build a house.

Everyone's favorite protocol droid. No red arm yet though. Threepio hasn't changed much. He's still kind of a coward but is a valuable part of the team. Do your best Anthony Daniels.

I cannot help but feel that my contributions are overlooked. This would be so much easier if Artoo was here. Oh, that is interesting! "Operation: Cinder" is running? It seems quite widespread… oh, oh dear… General Solo, I think you had better take a look at this. It's about an Imperial operation currently in progress against multiple targets as specified by the Emperor. One of those targets is Naboo...
Lando has become more of a leader, but still has that swagger to him. He doen't have many lines in this series but I will use whoever is cast as Lando later.

Naboo fighters, this is General Lando Calrissian aboard the Melcrawler II! We are engaging the Imperial Vessels, you may disengage! All fighters, begin your attack! Why show up early when you can arrive in the nick of time, right, Princess?
Captain Duvat commands the Star Destroyer Torment. Lieutenant Gulin is his second-in-command. The Emperor chose him to be a part of Operation: Cinder. His target is Naboo. Be creative with the voice. I realize now that not all Imperials have a British accent so any accent, American, German, whatever, will do fine.
I serve at the Emperor's pleasure.
I want one hundred percent within eight hours, Lieutenant Gulin. By order of the Emperor… Naboo is to be scoured…
Captain Korro seems to be Queen Soruna's bodyguard, a lot like Captain Panaka in the Phantom Menace. Give him a voice that matches his face. He seems to be very good at what he does, that is, protecting the Queen.
Your highness, pardon the interruption, but something's jamming all orbital sensors! We're experiencing a planet-wide blackout, no transmissions are getting on or off world--
Queen Soruna, I have to object in the strongest possible terms. You don't know what's up there. You could very well be killed. Allow one of your handmaidens to fly in your stead!
