Project Overview
Krayt Dragon Films is proud to announce that we will be continuing our Star Wars comic dubs with the Obi-Wan and Anakin series! KDF has been producing critically acclaimed comic series similar to this one for three years, especially Star Wars content. We are thrilled to include this series in our line up! Before we delve too far into what this project is about, we have supplied links to some of our previously completed works to give you a feel for what you will be voicing.

How it Works:
Sufficient to say, we have mastered bringing to life comics over our near three year run on YouTube. We pride ourselves on our company's quality in both visuals, sound effects, music, and the most important part: the voice actors. All productions start with a highly detailed and descriptive casting call. Our typical policy is we don't cast actors until the last day of the call so everyone has plenty of time to audition. Our CC's typically last 2-3 weeks. At the end of the CC process, the Series Director and Casting Director sit down together and make the casting decisions based on a variety of factors such as audio quality, performance, vocal range, talent, etc. Once the casting decisions have been made, we send a link for a private Discord server where you will find your scripts, schedule meetings for live voice direction, and to just meet and mingle with your fellow castmates. The production time on all projects are airtight, all lines are due within seven days of the script's release to allow voice actors time to first takes and if requested, retakes. If a request is requested you will have three days after the retake request is made to redo your lines. From there it is up to the Director and Producer to bring to life the comic. Production time can range from a few days to a few weeks so please try to have your audio in as quickly as possible so production can begin. Rinse and repeat until the series is complete!
The Synopsis:
Before their military heroism in the Clone Wars, before their tragic battle on Mustafar, and many decades before their final confrontation on the Death Star… they were Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and his Padawan learner, Anakin Skywalker. It's been a few years since Obi-Wan pledged to train the young "chosen one," but even as they have grown closer through training, it has been a difficult road. Now, called to a remote planet for assistance, Master and Padawan may be pushed to the breaking point. Writer Charles Soule (Lando, She-Hulk, Daredevil) and artist Marco Checchetto (Star Wars: Shattered Empire, Avengers World, Punisher) bring us a tale of the Jedi at the height of their power…

Ground rules:
- Please make sure you can commit to the series and reprising your roles. The series is a rather lengthy one which will require you to reprise your role for close to a year.
- Please be able to get your lines in the very same week you get the script. Production time will be airtight!
- Have professional grade equipment or at the bare minimum make sure your audio is top notch. No background noise!
- Have a Discord or be able to create one. This allows for us to communicate and upload documents much easier than Skype or any other platform.
- Lastly, enjoy yourselves!

Voice: We’re looking for a teenage boy’s voice, with an edge and distinctive enough to be recognizable. Drawing inspiration from Hayden Christensen’s portrayal wouldn’t hurt, but it’s not required.
Character Description: A Jedi Padawan, Anakin Skywalker grew up on the desert planet of Tattooine, where he lived with his mother as a junkyard slave. After being freed, Anakin was taken to learn the ways of the Force by two Jedi: Qui-Gon Jin and his apprentice, Obi-Wan Kenobi. Qui-Gon was later killed, leaving Anakin under the tutelage of Kenobi. For several years, he has been trained in the Jedi arts on Coruscant but has become disillusioned with the Jedi’s role in Republic politics. As a challenge, Anakin has decided to embark on one last mission with his master to determine his place.
Personality: Anakin is young and headstrong, and short on patience. He is aware of his status among the other students, who sometimes ostracize him because of his coming into the Jedi Order at so late of an age. He still bears the scars of slavery and finds it to be a sore spot, often taking up the cause of other oppressed individuals, even to where he’ll disobey orders, to his master’s chagrin. Lacking a firm grasp on his emotions, Anakin is often prone to aggression or reckless action, a foreshadowing of things to come.
"There's nothing you could have done to avoid a crash, Master. I've never seen such a dense debris field around a planet. I don't think even Plo Koon could have gotten a T-6 though if safely.”
"It's called art, Kolara. That's the word you're looking for. Now I understand why the adults are so afraid of the Scavenger. He's a distraction. All the adults--closed, open, it doesn't matter--None of them want you thinking about anything other than winning the war.”
"Just making an adjustment. My lightsaber felt a little off the last time I used it. I'm probably the only one who'd ever notice."
Voice: We’re looking for a gruff, deep voice for Grecker. Not so deep it sounds like Batman, but still having charisma. Think professional wrestler.
Character Description: Grecker is a dedicated soldier of the Closed faction on Carnelion IV. As a veteran, he has fought with the Closed for all his life and hates them just as much as they hate him. His fate is thrown a curve with the arrival of Skywalker and Kenobi, who try to show him and Pran that there are more choices than violence. However, this message does not seem to take root in either party, and conflict continues.
Personality: Grecker trusts no one, not even when they’re trying to help them. He has a deceitful streak that won’t seem to die out. Very disgruntled and angry.
"Mother Pran and Kolara took your boy and flew away with him. Traitorous open animals. You can't trust them, not for a moment.”
"Who do you think you are? You don't know anything about this world--You just fly here in your starship, think you can save us? Don't you get it, you fool? It's too l—“
"We're under attack. They'll be up here any second."
Voice: For Kolara, we’re looking for independence and wit. Young and adventurous, but also capable and respectful. Mid-to-late teens.
Character Description: Kolara is a soldier for the Open and an aide to Mother Pran, as well as the unofficial leader of the Open youth. While the adults of the Open seem to be focused on destroying each other, Kolara and the other youths are intrigued by the “Skygifts” that appear from time to time, often containing works of culture or art. Even so, Kolara is reluctant to speak her mind in front of Pran, but finds young Anakin to be a suitable confidant.
Personality: Kolara is very loyal, more so to Mother Pran than to the Open itself. Despite her commander’s roughness, Kolara is quite open-minded and friendly. Rather than rush head-first into conflict, she understands the importance of weighing alternatives and keeping a level head. An art-lover, she has an appreciation for simplicity.
”Mother Pran... They're going to crash! You've killed them!”
"No, Anakin. You're a skygift. We don't make much of anything on this planet. We can't, really. All of our technology either comes from what we find on the surface or we can salvage from ships that crash here. We call those skygifts. Like you.”
"Anakin... I'm sorry about this. I'm sorry we kidnapped you. I didn't have a choice. Mother Pran is our leader. I couldn't say no to her. Are you hurt? I didn't want to hurt y—"
Voice: We’re looking for a stern, no-nonsense, commander-esque portrayal. Very mature and hard-nail. Accents welcome.
Character Description: Mother Pran is the leader of the Open faction on Carnelion IV. For hundreds, if not thousands of years, the Open have waged war against the Closed, turning the planet into a wasteland, with few cities or structural areas left standing. While the Closed hold the forests a lowlands, Pran and the Open make a base in the mountains. Pran eagerly fights on against the Open in this seemingly eternal feud.
Personality: Pran is focused on one thing only: war and the elimination of the rival Closed. She is willing to accomplish this by any means necessary, including assassination and kidnapping. A skilled fighter, Pran is often able to get the best of her opponents, whether psychologically or physically. Very driven.
”Step away from him, Kolara. Now. Are you open or closed? Answer or die.”
"Open and Closed can work together. If there is no other ch--Dammit. Grecker. Look.”
"I have more. If you can fix these too, you'd be... Well, you'd be our savior. You could put this entire planet back on the right path. Will you do it?"
Voice: For Sera, we’re looking for a blend of elderly wisdom and pessimism. No fragility or stereotypical old lady cackle, but strength, with regret in the background. Accents welcome.
Character Description: Sera is an old hermit that survives by scavenging the surface Carnelion IV, hence her alias, “The Scavenger.” For years, she has sent “Skygifts” to the world above to remind the Open and Closed of the world before the war, a world that existed before even she was alive. Since none of this seems to have worked, she becomes cynical, believing that the only way to save the planet is to have all the adults killed off, so she can start anew with the younger generation. To do this, she finds a way to summon the Jedi, whom she hopes will aid her cause.
Personality: Sera is old and disillusioned, helpless even. She has seen nothing but generation after generation falls into the hands of the feuding factions of the Closed and Open, hellbent on destroying one another. She has given up all hope in them and has put all her stock into the Jedi making things right.
”Isn't it obvious? I just saved your life. He was trying to get me to close the door, leave you out there for the beasts. Come along, Jedi. I've been waiting for you.”
"Yes. Small things. It is my hope that from time to time they will find their way into the hands of people receptive to what they represent. It is too late for the old generation--their souls are as poisoned on this world. But the young... there is always hope in the young.”
"The things I've gathered, the bits of art I send up on the kites--They just remind the leaders of everything they've lost. How badly they've failed.”
Voice: We’re looking for as close a match as possible to Frank Oz’s portrayal of the character.
Character Description: At over 800 years old, Yoda stands (at a little over 3 feet) as head of the Jedi Council and one of the most weathered members of the Jedi Order. In tune with the Force, Yoda is a source of wisdom, guidance, and mentorship for many Jedi, regardless of age or rank.
Personality: Yoda is the epitome of what a Jedi should be: courteous and patient, but also strong and brave. Even though he is one of the wisest Jedi to have ever existed, he is humble and does not boast of anything. Yoda is always willing to teach other Jedi and tell them what they need to hear, even when they don’t want to hear it.
”As are you, Obi-Wan. As are you. Your fault, it is not. A child Anakin remains. His path before coming to us... Difficult. His questions... Natural. A call for Jedi aid, received we have. With young Skywalker you will go, investigate you shall. If after your return, Anakin still wishes to leave us, then released he shall be."
"Disagree, I do not, but allow this, the council will not. For the Jedi Order only, Jedi training is. Understand, do you? Anakin's departure, it's consequence?”
Voice: We’re looking for a burly, almost slurred in speech kind of guy. He’s an alien, so we’re wide open to different interpretations!
Character Description: Senator Colandrus is a member of the Republic Senate. Highly corrupt, Colandrus uses senate funds for his own gambling addiction and spends much of his time in the slums of the capital.
Personality: Sneaky and deceitful, but still full of himself.
”Come on, now--Show me something!”
"What, exactly, do you think is so funny?”
"See that you do."
Voice: We’re looking for a tough, brawn-over-brains type of delivery. Big guy with a bad attitude.
Character Description: A personal protector for Senator Colandrus.
Personality: Bouncer-type. Big and bad, “don’t BS me.”
”The Senator just asked you a question."
Voice: We’re looking for a proper, commanding voice. Stereotypical hero style.
Character Description: A soldier for the Republic.
Personality: Orderly.
”Cease all hostilities. Repeat. All hostilities must cease immediately."
Voice: We’re looking for standard teenage boy’s voice, with a sharp edge.
Character Description: A youth of the Open faction.
Personality: Inquisitive, judgmental.
”Do you think we should do something? I mean... The adults left to find the source of that distress signal. But we know there's only one thing out there alive to send a signal off-world--It's the Scavenger. It has to be. And Mother Pran and the others took every war machine we have... They're going to kill him.”
Voice: We’re looking for standard teenage boy’s voice.
Character Description: A youth of the Open faction.
Personality: Inquisitive.
”Like what, Kolara? The adults took all the airguns along with the walkers. We can't even get out of this mountain. Are we supposed to walk? Under the Celadon Sea? Come on."
Voice: We’re looking for a typical rough, soldier-y voice. Accents welcome.
Character Description: A soldier for the Open faction.
Personality: Rough and rugged.
"The droid! He--He fixed it! This changes everything. We can finally... We can finally destroy the Closed. We can actually win the war.”
