Space Battleship Yamato: 2199 Unofficial Fan Dub
Project Overview
Space Battleship Yamato originally aired in the early 1970's and garnered a massive following in Japan and eventually made it overseas in the form of Star Blazers. We at StarForce Media love both forms of Yamato and having found out that there are no future plans to release the newest rebooted series into English, we have decided to take up the mantle and create a Fan Dub. The Dub will do it's utmost to stay true to the story of Yamato as close as it possibly can be. Thus unlike typical dubbing techniques we will NOT be changing character names and the story to fit our own needs. We hope to have this project off the ground and the first two episodes released sometime early this summer.

Captain Hijikata is the best friend and colleague of Juzo Okita and the mentor to Susumo Kodai. Hijikata is a very serious person and does not settle for any kind of nonsense. His voice could be considered as gruff but at the same time he has the wisdom of a teacher and thus can be tempered at times.
"There’s still too much we don’t know about our enemy. All we do know is that the demons are called Gamilas."
"I’m sorry. Kodai is my student."
"It was worth waiting and believing."
Yamanami is the Kirishima's Captain and friend of Juzo Okita. He is very loyal and very level headed. His voice can be considered as soft spoken but firm.
"EM Wave Detection restrictions released. Identify the contacts."
"(Urgent):Damage control! Get the emergency bulkheads down! Hurry!"
"We’re leaving the Battlefield. Hard to Starboard."
General Kotetsu is the XO of the United Nations Cosmo Forces. He acts professional at all times, however, he has a secret agenda that is revealed in time.
"On standby at the designated area."
"The Izumo Plan is in your hands, Nimi."
Commander Todo is the Head of the United Nations Cosmo Forces. He is level headed and always serious about the situation. His voice can be described as deep and raspy but soft spoken unless the situation calls for it.
"Everything is going to plan so far."
"It’s been once year since we moved from the Izumo Plan. And we’re finally at the start of the Yamato plan. Where are the crew?"
"Prepare to intercept! Hurry!"
Captain of the Destroyer Yukikaze and older brother to Susumu Kodai. Mamoru has a brief appearance but it's a major reason why Susumu acts the way he does.
"Admiral, we’re not going to withdraw."
"(Insistent) Admiral, you cannot die here! Earth still needs you."
"Be well. I leave the Earth in your hands."
Constantly drunk, constantly goofy, Dr. Sado is not what you'd expect from a Doctor. However, he does have his moments of seriousness when he's not drunk from sake. He acts as the Chief Medical Officer aboard the Yamato. It is VERY rare you see him without a bottle of sake in his hand. As such his voice is squeaky when drunk but deep when sober.
"It’s quite alright. But you aren’t the only ones to lose relatives in this war. Just don’t forget that."
"This isn’t the cheap junk either! It’s real sake, the good stuff!"
