About Shokugeki no Soma: Soma vs. Ikumi!

Hello all!

Welcome to the audition page for the Shokugeki no Soma Fan Dub!
This Fan Dub will over cover large section of Episode 7, if not all of it.
We are not against moving forward with this Fan Dub and doing more episodes if things go well!
We are currently seeking voices for all of the characters listed in the Audition Section below.
If a character is missing from the page that appears in the episode, Please let us know.

1. A Clear Mic (If you have a lot of background noise, We will not even consider giving you the role.)
2. Emotion (If you're going play the character, you have to be the character. Put yourself into their shoes.)
3. Dedication (Unless you have a good reason for it, you will have to stick with the project until the end.)
4. Skype (The recording will be done in a Live, 1 on 1 ADR Session environment. We will need to Call with you as you record so we may give proper direction. This is further explained below.)
5. Be educated and mindful of the source material (This is also a part Ecchi anime. If you're uncomfortable with this, we suggest that you do not audition. Various characters do have moments in which they will moan in a suggestive manner. Again, if you are not comfortable with this, please leave as suggested.)
6. Prompt (Get your lines in on time unless you have a good reason and you warn us ahead of time.)
7. Range [Not as important] (We may need you for extras.)
8. Have fun! (I know this is taken for granted, but if it's not fun, don't do it!)

Once you are cast, we will be sending you a request on Skype, Adding you to a group, and scheduling Director and Actor sessions in which we will direct you as you record. This is to ensure multiple things to make the production process as easy as possible.
Here is a small list of the process.

1. You are cast.
2. You will be added on Skype.
3. You will be added to a group with all your fellow Cast and Crew.
4. A Meeting for each actor will be scheduled. This meeting will include you Voice Acting, So be prepared to give it your best. Do not schedule a meeting during a time that you will not be able to voice act to the furthest extent. This will possibly include (Per Character) Moans, Screams, Chants, And Monologues.
5. You will be sent a video file containing the Source Material that you will be Dubbing over. The Video file you receive will have 2 audio tracks inside of it.

If you Voice Soma, Before every line Soma speaks, There will be three beeps in the Audio. After the third beep is when your characters line begins. You will utilize this for having your lines being properly timed, And having you lines align up with the Lip flaps in the Animation.
Track 1 Will be the original Japanese Audio. Three Beeps will play before every line. The beeps will only play on the lines of the characters that you Voice. Your character will start speaking after the third beep.
Track 2 Will be the the original Japanese Audio, But every line that you voice will be missing from the audio. This track will also contain the 3 Beeps. You will be using this audio track for when you actually record your lines in the Recording Session.

6. After you have recorded all your lines in the Recording Session Meeting, you will Export them, Zip them up, And upload them to a location that the directors will give to you.
7. After your lines have been received they will be gone over by the Directors. If there are any problems with lines, A second meeting will be scheduled for any and all Redo's you may need to do.
8. You will be notified of any progress during the Post Production phase.
9. There will be a pre screening released to all the Cast and Crew.
10. The video will be publicly released online.

It is greatly required for you to read the above section, as it will make the whole process much smoother and ensure a fantastic quality finished product.

The Audition Deadline is set for a very late time. This is not when we plan on actually ending the Auditions. We plan on ending them the second we have every character cast. If we find an Actor that we think is perfect we will cast them, So if you plan on auditioning, We suggest auditioning as soon as possible.

We hope to hear your wonderful auditions and Thank you for auditioning!
