ROBLOX - Wicked

ROBLOX - Wicked

Project Overview

ROBLOX - Wicked, is a simulation of the Wicked broadway but on ROBLOX. Sure, it sounds ridiculaus; but let's be honest here, who wouldn't want to do this just for the mere enjoyment of it?

So, instead of being lazy and predictable, and take audio from the many differents casts for each version of Wicked, why not record something entirely new and start the audio (except the instrumentals from scratch)? I'm currently only looking for Elphaba and Galinda due to having trouble with the rest of the cast off-site. I'll be sure to add them to the roster on here if they have to quit for some reason.

If you don't think you're good at singing, but you can voice act; you can also audition here. But if you believe you're good at both, you can audition for the same character twice.

And before someone asks, no, you do not need a ROBLOX account to audition; if I wanted ROBLOX-users only, I would've just put it on the fourms. And before someone complains that I didn't list any emotions or anything, it's just like an actual audition for broadway or a few other theatre auditions, you can interpret it as any emotion  you want (unless you've seen Wicked and want to stay true to the play).

I already rambled on about Elphaba, so just skip this description.

  • "And nobody, in all of Oz, no wizard that there is or was is ever gonna bring me down" (I know after she says was she starts singing the rest, but you can just speak it if you need to.)

  • "But of coruse, I'll care for Nessa."

  • "Blonde,"

Elphaba, a main character, is the Wicked Witch of the West. Unlike her book counterpart, the Elphaba from the broadway musical, was framed by Madame Morrible and the Wizard for commiting crimes under the Wizards "orders," which caused everyone to be against her.

The very first Elphaba in the musical was Idina Menzel (not Adele Deziem-- is that meme still a thing or am I two years too late, again?)-- which most people probably know her as the stale-bread, old meme I refrenced or "that one person who was in Enchanted and nobody noticed until after Frozen came out," in case you didn't already know them. I'm going to be off topic (sort've, I'm still talking about Idina as Elphaba) for a second, but I can't be the only person dumbfounded at the fact some people actually thought blood came out of her mouth during a high note; what type of blood is the same shade of pink as a tounge, because I'd like to have that blood-color. Anyways, I'm done rambling on about Elphaba and Idina. So, yeah. . have fun auditioning!

  • [Any Part From a Song You Want]

  • "So if you dare to find me/Look to the western sky"

  • "There's been some confusion/Over rooming here at Shiz"

Galinda/Glinda (Singing Voice)

Galinda (later Glinda after a quick name-change), also known as Glinda the Good Witch (The Wizard of Oz) is probably the most popular Wicked character next to Elphaba. Seriously, I bring up Wicked once, and all of a sudden we're having a conversation over which variation of Galinda's pink dress during Popular looked best.

Galinda/Glinda was first played by Kristen Chenoweth (she was Maleficent in that terrible straight-to-Disney Channel film that's for some reason getting a sequel and more franchise than J. K. Rowling could even dream of having for Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter).  And I guess I'll just ramble on about everyone before I eventually get bored, I personally think Kristen was the best Galinda. I would also buy the Kristen-Galinda pink dress, even if it's old (2003, it's not that old, but if it's older than the Series of Unfortunate Events film; then, in my class in real life, that's the oldest thing in the world).

  • [Part From Any Song]

  • "Don't be offended by my frank analysis/Think of it as personality dialysis"

  • "For you see, my room-mate is/Unusually and exceedingly peculiar/And altogether quite impossible to describe"

Don't forget you can audition for the same character twice. Once for singing and one for non-singing voice. This is like the Jack Skellington scenario (Nightmare Before Christmas), where one person might be the voice actor, but the other sings the songs for the voice actor instead of just one person as Jack and that's that!

  • (Don't include this in the recording; this is just if you need a lil' something before recording. Galinda is writing a letter to her parents about her new roommate at Shiz) "Dearest darlingist momsie and popsical,"

  • "Elphie, now that we're friends, I've decided to make you my new project."

  • (Don't include this in the recording; this is just if you need a lil' something before recording. Elphaba: "You really don't have to do that.") "I know. That's what makes me so nice,"
