Please do not feel the need to scream during auditions unless the line seems to particularly call for it
Dwayne's been dubbed a "tough guy" for his aggressive mannerisms, but he's a hopeless daydreamer and idealist. Smug when achieving his goals, he also has a soft side for those he holds close (mainly his crush, Justin).
Watch it yourself, bloodsucker.
You get out of that bed and join a boyband or I'm calling Chad.
I'm never gonna see him again...
Justin's a bit of an enigma; at times he's confident and suave, and at others he's awkward and insecure. In any case, he's always trying to put his best foot forward, even if he gets distracted easily.
He speaks at an average pace, but speeds up immensely when talking about something he's invested in and tends to stumble over his words when he's emotional.
Good evening Toronto! My name is Justin Bishop, and this is Road Trip.
No, I want to do this, it's important... it's- they'll all be disappointed if...
Did you say karaoke?
Lucas is calm and collected, and has a need for order and control in his life; he's realized long ago that if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. He has a good heart but sometimes can plan things out too much, and appreciates rules and laws.
He rarely raises his voice and addresses everything coolly, even when irritated underneath- although he might sound a bit cold.
I don't have the time to make any plans.
You really think he's gonna have the guts to keep Justin under control?
You were almost late.
Axel is a self-dubbed realist and an everyone-else-dubbed pessimist. His gut reaction to anything is to insult it, and as a result he comes off as a bit of a snarky jerk, but he's still grateful for his friends.
His voice is tinted with an underlying layer of sarcasm and is a bit higher pitched than one might expect.
Go back to the burger joint and make a real living, Dwayne.
Thanks, missed you too.
They're gonna be disappointed no matter what.
Chad is a perpetual optimist and opportunist who drifts through life without any particular goal in mind other than working to get his closest friend, Axel, out in the real world. He has little regard for most of society's implied rules, and sometimes stated ones, such as the law.
Listen, you're gonna have fun. And if you don't- I'll watch Camp Terrorfright 18 with you.
What's all this for? Oh, right, it's for you, from me.
I woke up this morning alone. Also on the street. But, you know, the little things.
Robin's the band's former manager. She's levelheaded and is mostly just trying to work out what works and what doesn't.
Sweet. I'm gonna need you to get Axel for me, though.
An antagonizing force to Dwayne, his manager is scornful and easily irritated.
You got a voice, kid, but you sure can't cook bacon.
The coffeehouse owner is calm, friendly, and patient, but also panicked easily if anyone questions those traits.
What do you think you're doing?!
The party animals are Axel's wild roommates; like frat bros, but they can pay rent.
We paid all those debts, man!
The party animals are Axel's wild roommates; like frat bros, but they can pay rent.
Chug, chug, chug, chug...
This character confronts Dwayne and is rather smugly antagonistic.
Watch it, birdbrain. I'm feeling hungry today.
