Return to Dominaria - Magic Story Audio Drama
Project Overview
As Wizards of the Coast continues to release their weekly Magic Story updates, it is our goal on the Voice of All podcast to bring these stories to life through audio.
At last it is time for us to return to Dominaria, the first world of Magic. A lot has changed since the last time we were here, but many old favorite characters are still around. You can check out this week's story here:

As a general casting note, I do not typically have any voice requirements in mind for characters. I would much rather hear your interpretations and choose from among them.

Jhoira is an ancient artificer and mage. She is hundreds of years old and virtually immortal due to several incidents involving time magic. She studied for many years under Urza Planeswalker She was the first captain of the skyship Weatherlight and worked with Teferi to close the time rifts during the events of Time Spiral. Jhoira is a major character in Magic lore and the Dominaria storyline. Should you be cast, you will be asked to reprise the role in future stories.
"Ziva, I'm directing my lights toward it. Can you see it?" [Talking through a speaker to a merfolk outside her submarine.
"The price is doubled if you can bring it up within two days."
"Everyone ready? Now we raise the Weatherlight." [breathless excitement as they prepare to dig up the wreckage of her old ship]
A lead cleric of the Cabal. He worships the dark demonlord Belzenlok, acting as intermediary between the other clerics and the demon. Though not explicitly stated, we may see him again in future stories. Should you be cast, you may be asked to reprise the role then.
"You've returned. I hope for a worthwhile reason."
"It was Belzenlok! Belzenlok forged it. Belzenlok slayed the elder dragon. Belzenlok." [Insistent. Reinforcing on the clerics around them that they are changing the facts. Belzenlok is pronounced as "BELL-zehn-lock"]
"Very good. You have earned your reward." [her reward is a blissful death]
An older man who has come to the Tolarian Academy from Jamuraa. He has joined Jhoira on her quest to find the ancient skyship Weatherlight. Though not much is said about him beyond this, we can infer that he is a wizard of some skill since he's studied at the academy. We may see him again in future stories. Should you be cast, you may be asked to reprise the role then.
"You've got sharp eyes. I thought there would be more left of it."
"You knew it. I'm not sure anyone else believed it was possible!" [Elated, like you've just found something you've been searching for for years.]
A merfolk woman whom Jhoira has paid to help dig up the wreckage of the skyship Weatherlight buried beneath the waves. Not much is said to describe her beyond this. We may see her again in future stories. Should you be cast, you may be asked to reprise the role then.
"It's lying on a shelf, trapped by saltweed and sand, but no rocks. We should have no trouble raising it to the surface—if the price remains the same."
"You'll have it in one!" [laughing]
An angel leading the armies of Benalia against the Cabal. She is disheartened after many losses. She may appear again in future stories. Should she do so, you will be asked to reprise the role.
"Platitudes will not stop the Cabal."
"My forces are scattered, in hiding. If I engage the Cabal again, they'll be destroyed. Let them defend themselves and their own as best they can. We can't defeat the Cabal here in open battle."
"Why are we meething here? This house is cursed. It can't be a good spot to stage a battle against the Cabal."
"You've seen a skin witch?" [incredulous]
A young, frail looking mage who studied at Tolaria West. He's great with illusions but initially dismissed by Gideon as being too weak to help. It's currently unclear but he may appear in future stories. Should he do so, you will be asked to reprise the role.
"Yes, I can do that! I'm good with illusions." [excited to be helpful]
"Because you're untouched by necromancy. I've had to modify the illusion so a dread shade will be able to see it... I hope it works." [anxious]
