Return to Dominaria Episode 8
Project Overview
As Wizards of the Coast continues to release their weekly Magic Story updates, it is our goal on the Voice of All podcast to bring these stories to life through audio.
Chandra has split off from the rest of the Gatewatch on a search for Jaya Ballard, a possible mentor in pyromancy. On her quest, she meets a few new folks we're casting today! You can check out this week's story here:

Karn was a golem created as a probe by Urza to enable his time traveling experiments. His form was chosen because Urza's studies had shown that only silver could pass through temporal energies unharmed. In an effort to make the golem fully sentient, Urza included a heartstone as part of his construction, allowing him to develop a personality which would grow and evolve and make decisions on his own should the need call for it. Over his many adventures, Karn has indeed done just that and eventually became a planeswalker and ruler of his own world. Karn is a peaceful being, and preferably a pacifist by nature, the very picture of a gentle giant. We do not yet know why he has returned to Dominaria, but I suspect we will find out soon. Karn is a major character in Magic lore and important to the Return to Dominaria storyline. Should you take this role, you will be asked to reprise him in future stories.

"Take care. They will attack any movement." [warning to the new arrival]
"Multani is an elemental, and has been in a semiconscious state, recovering from terrible injuries. Animating these trees and sending them to attack us is an instinctive defensive action."
"I'm Karn. And I am someone who has been gone for a long time." [said with a slightly ironic tone, knowing that he's the person in question]
Baird is one of several stewards who keep watch against threats to the nation of New Argive. The Argivian warrior-nobility value education as much as they do martial skill, and Baird is both a keen skilled combatant and a keen scholar of Argivian history. In this particular story, he serves as a protector of his people, leading an army to face down a threat of kobolds and their god-dragon.
"To the Yavimaya forest, I believe. It's just off the coast on the far side of the Kher Ridges." [in answer to "where did she go?"]
"If you mean to follow her, please accept some food and supplies from us. It's the least we can do in return for your help."
"I'm not certain. She said it was someone who had been gone a long time."
