[RECAST] Girly Idols! (Love Live! Abridged)
Project Overview
Yup a recast, times roll & people move on to real life struggles, some with college, others going professional. So we have to recast.[RECAST NOTES]
So for those who have checked out the series, you'll have to cover the 1st 2 episodes as well (including songs) for the true FINAL product (assuming we can get there without anyone vanishing).
[Original Description]
HEY YOU! YOU WANNA BE AN IDOL, BUT COULDN'T GET IN MANLY IDOLS BECAUSE YOU WERE A GIRL & DIDN'T MAKE IT AS MAKI?! Of course you do! Come on over here & give us a hand will ya? There will be singing!
SP00D Plot:
When Equality High, a school to special ladies to fight against the mystical forces of fantasy things, is set explode after 2 years due to lack of enrollment. Kosaka Honoka becomes inspired by the rival school/UTX's idol group C-RISE to start an idol group for Equality High.
...This is going to be intense. I can just hear it.
[[IMPORTANT AUDITION RELATED THINGS:]]
A few things I really need to emphasize before we jump on the boat for characters to audition for characters:
1. If you're going to audition, there's an expectation of dedication till the end of the project (Unless you're okay getting involved in future projects). I'm a person who is very uptight on making deadlines. I can make exceptions when some things happen to you in real life, such as family emergencies, my own schedule being congested, or suffocating jobs & such (with an advanced notice). But I would prefer that within the 2-3 week time I give for lines, that you would make sometime to record the lines.
2. Most of my deadlines are 2-3 weeks long on a Saturday due to me editing the episode all day on a Sunday. Unless there's another project with a deadline when I completed the script, it'll be the week after. Either way, that's the standard.
3. THIS AUDITION IS ALSO ON VAA & BTVA.
4. The lines are the family friendly version of the actual lines & some lines are from episode 1 itself (which if you haven't seen Manly Idols! yet, please check out bellow here to see how the general flow of this series is going to go), be sure to do your best as if you were actually doing the episode yourself. Remember, you're playing as the rule 63 equivalent of these dudes, be sure to be just as intense as them. If the line is from Episode 1, you can send me the non-family friendly edition, your call.

Take note while these may or may not sound a bit rough, this project is still for the lolz, but it's also something I want to get done & not leave it to fade out in the darkness.
[[AUDIO/VOICE REQUIREMENTS:]]
-Please have a mic quality that sounds as good as this: http://youtu.be/JME-cuDFjBE?t=25s. I'm not asking for something super delicious in quality, but I will not take mics that sound like an attached mic on an old laptop with a super pixelated webcam.
-As noted earlier (I think), there will be shouting lines & swearing, most are used in moderation, but they still exist. Emotions are strongly advised.
-Improv is okay to include in the auditions & actual lines. Just don't change the original line too much, or if you're a person who does multiple takes, separate that from the other takes.
-We do bloopers, so feel free to keep any slip-ups during recordings if you want.
[OTHER THINGS TO TAKE NOTE OF:]
If you need some idea of the characters you wish to play as, YouTube is your friend. It would help to also have some knowledge of the anime &/or episodes so you have a general idea of the intentions each line has. Half of these lines are in BETA & others are from episode 1.
You don't have to know the series too much, though it may help. All that really matters is that you unleash your full potential. Feel free to contact me about any other references you don't get, or confusing things in general. I'll be glad to assist.
You don't have to necessarily sound like their original voice actor, but I'd at least like it to match with how they look (Or within the description of the character). The idea for me is what their English equivalent would sound like given their age & look.

General Description: The leader of Lambda's. She's been known as the dragon slayer at her school. Since... Well... She slays dragons. A very fired up & carefree character.
(Declaring speech like a medieval person ready to beat down the main bad guy, yes, angry, but cheezy) Hear me now, dragons of my dear Nippon! For it is I! Kosaka Honoka [ko-sock-kah ho-no-kah]! With the power of my main character shield & unique orange hair, I will fight you by becoming an IDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!
Yay! Skipping in the hallways is totally safe in school regulations~! (Cheezy) Hi three random people that hold minor plot relevance! Yeah! Life is great! There's just no way the school will explode due to low attendance- (cut off into yelling) NANJAKORRYAAAAAAAAAA (Nah-nn-jah-cory-ya)?!!!
(Dancing, fired up) Yeah! I'm the OSU (Oh-su) MASTER! (Falling) HOLY SENPAI! OW! MY BON-BON.

Character/Voice Type in SP00D: Southern accent (because her actual character speaks in Kansai dialect which is basically Japan's version of Southern Accent.... Kind of)
General Description: The vice student council president who seems to be obsessed with spirits & tarot cards. I would not doubt it if she was secretly a Persona user.
(Like a friend patting their shoulder in assurance)Eli mah friend... The answer you're lookin' for... (Yelling like a super move) Is in da heart of da cards! (Sees a bad luck card, casually) Oh shucks dat ain't gud.
(Playing dumb with sass, not buying Nico's lie) Sorry what was dat Nico? I can' hear ya over da sound of da loud spirits screaming "BS" in mah ear!
(Out loud statement) I socialized wit everyon'! (Fired up like a rodeo) RANK UUUUUUUUP!!!
Character/Voice Type in SP00D: Rich, haughty, tea sipping leader.
General Description: The leader of C-RISE, a sophisticated, haughty, rich hipster. She attends the rich of rich UTX high, which is really rich. Take a good look at the Manly Idols! version to see what that entails. REALLY GOOD IMPROV & VOCABULARY skills is required. If you're good enough, you can even mad lib your own lines in future episodes.
(Like that's unheard of, haughty) What? You have to WALK to school?! I take a jet plane to school.
(Loves the event FYI) I say, this (adjective) event is truly (adjective).
(Improv ridiculous things to say while dancing in a way to attract the person like: "OH YEAH! SPIN! Yeah! Groovy! Love'n it aren't ya?!" silly stuff like that. Go wild.)
Character/Voice Type in SP00D: Asian Mom without the Asian Accent.
General Description: Not much, she's just there a few times.
(Mad with her daughter's noisiness) Dude! We're running a store here. Do you think my customers like coming into (Impersonate) "BWAAAAHHH!! I'M A FREAK'N DRAGON?!
(Slamming the door & ranting) CHRIST! KIDS THESE DAYS WITH THEIR SMART PHONES & TONGUES!
(Casually) Oh hey Umi, wanna have a Popsicle?
Character/Voice Type in SP00D: A gangsta Mom
General Description: The principal/chairwoman of the school. She's kinda just there not caring about the fact that blowing up the school is extreme. A gangsta accent of ANY kind if required.
Since Kotori's accent was based off Christopher Walken, if you can figure out what kind of accent that is & apply it to Mrs. Minami, that'd be great.
(Casually like it's not a problem) What? Not a fan of explosions?
Therefore you best invest in building a bridge so you can get over it. Kay bye.
