Real Love - Animated Student Short Film
Project Overview
This is a 90-second animated drama film about a seemingly content relationship that begins to devolve when one girl’s idolisation for the other turns into jealousy and hatred. Through the film, Girl One delivers a confessional monologue on her complex feelings towards her girlfriend and the violent altercation the pair had before Girl One's departure.
Notes:
As this is a drama, the voice direction aims to be grounded and realistic, even during moments of heightened emotion

Girl One is the protagonist of the film. She delivers a monologue for most of its runtime, but also has a short dialogue scene.
- Female; late teens to early 20s; open to any accents
- Girl One is struggling to reconcile her idolisation of her girlfriend with her feelings of jealousy, inadequacy, and hatred. When she reveals she's leaving town and her girlfriend refuses to go with her, her mounting resentment results in a violent outburst.
- Girl One speaks in a low, subdued, and even depressed tone of voice for most of her monologue. However, there is a short scene where a fight takes place, and being able to deliver very angry yelled lines is also a must.
- This film is a drama, and a grounded, realistic performance would be preferred over one that's cartoony or over-the-top.
- Examples of combat SFX (e.g. grunts, yells, panting) must be in your demo reel/audition! Since this is a drama, be sure they're realistic and not like anime or sci-fi/action SFX.

Looking for a composer for a 90-second animated student film. The film is a drama/psychological thriller about a relationship that falls apart when one girl's idolisation of the other devolves into jealousy and hatred. It's important that the soundtrack is simple enough that it doesn't overpower the spoken monologue over it. I'm open to trying out different instrumentation depending on your ideas!
