Project Overview

The Mind's Ear is an experimental radio program that airs every Saturday night at 9 p.m. (PST) and every Sunday night at 7 p.m. (PST) on Free Radio Santa Cruz (101.3 FM).  We are always on the lookout for voice actors to add to our cast and welcome anyone to submit their demos for consideration.


Right now, we are currently casting the role of an elderly woman who happens to be the Queenpin of a powerful criminal syndicate.  Age and race/nationality are not important, however the ability to believably perform the voice of an elderly woman with some dramatic range (some parts of this particular radio drama will be comedic, others will be tragic) and the ability to capture your audio with decent sound quality is absolutely essential.


Although this elderly woman is the main protagonist of this radio drama, most of the story's action will be narrated so there won't be a ton of dialogue to record.

Eunice is the 80 year old Queenpin of a powerful Chicago crime syndicate.  Her outer comportment is that of a mirthful grandmother who enjoys baking cookies and playing Bingo . . . but behind that facade is a cunning, sadistic criminal mastermind who will stop at nothing to get what she wants.

  • "Their names were Ronny and Donny. They were never the sharpest tools in the shed, but they were both such good boys. And you took them from me.  You took them away from this world.   You robbed them of their futures.   And you robbed me of my future with them.  And there is nothing you could offer me that would make up for what you've taken from me. The only thing I desire now is vengeance."(Speaking with her rival/nemesis who recently killed both of her adult sons with a car bomb).
