Project Overview

Hyrule Warriors Redux is a fully voice acted fan dub of the video game, Hyrule Warriors (2014). Provided with a full English dub of the main story campaign in Legend Mode, as there is no official English voice acting provided in the original game. Produced and distributed as a voice acting project by ZeldaUniverse (ZeldaUniverse.net)


The "Redux" of this dub series entails of a revival, and in this case, we're bringing it back to completely remaster our original dub from Hyrule Warriors from 2015. Hyrule Warriors Redux is slated to be released in Early 2018, split into a four part, episodic series.

How long do you need to be on board with the project if you're cast? Here's what you can expect:
September 8 - October 6: Audition time
October 7 - October 13: Casting Process
October 13 (at the latest): Cast List revealed
October 13 - 20: Recruting cast members who made the project & beginning production. DO PLAN TO ATTEND AN ALL CAST MEETING DURING THIS TIME FRAME.
October 13 - December 31: Voice work with director and staff. Be available during this time frame for line work and recording.
January 1 - March 1: Episodic releases (four episodes) & final cast meeting.

When auditioning, remember these guidelines:
-You may audition for as many roles as you'd like. No limit!
-Do not harass or discourage other actors or their auditions; this is meant to be a friendly environment, and we want everybody to have a professional experience.
-No age limit; so long as they meet CastingCallClub's rules and guidelines.
-Voice acted roles are all voluntarily. We don't provide paid roles at this time.
-We recommend using a quality microphone when auditioning; we need to be able to hear you & provided with little to no background noise.
-Have fun! This is a Zelda dub after all, and if you're not having fun, then don't "tri" and "force" it! ... I'll see myself out.

The story:
As the tales of The Legend of Zelda series goes, a great evil consumed Hyrule, until one day a hero in green stopped the malicious force and restored piece to the land. In order to prevent the evil from reincarnating, to repeat the cycle of destruction, the hero split the evil's fragments, sealing them away across time and space. Until now, that evil has shown signs of returning, in new ways than before. It's up to the princess, Zelda, to discover the newly reborn hero of the land, and stop the evil from returning to its former glory.

  • CAST REVEALED

    The casting has been complete for Hyrule Warriors. We thank everybody who auditioned for this project, and we look forward to the release of Act 1 of this project in January 2018! A lot of auditions came in, and we truly understand if you are feeling down for not getting a role this time. But do not worry, as we will have more auditions down the road; with another casting call coming in early 2018 for Link's Awakening!     The deadline has passed or is about to pass in certain time zones. If the latter, do get your auditions in ASAP before we stop taking in new submissions. Thank you all for taking the time to try out for Hyrule Warriors Redux! We have a lot of auditions to consider, and we will be putting together our cast for this next dub project. Actors will be contacted to accept or decline the role(s) we assign them. Once all actors have been contacted and recruited, we will publicly announce our casting over on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube followed by an official release date of the first Act.   • FINAL WEEK OF AUDITIONS + Note on Rejected auditions [Update 1.4]

    We're running close to the end of our last week of auditions. Please keep in mind that we will be starting the casting process after the weekend of October 6th. This will likely take up to 3 or 4 days. During this time, both the director and I (the manager) will be discussing our choices. IMPORTANT: We will be reaching out to people who we would like to play the roles we assign them. If selected, you will be given the option to accept or decline the offer of playing a voice role. Upon acceptance, we will proceed with access to our private Discord group, brief project information & an online cast meeting date/time. Once you accept a role, we ask all actors to not speak or post about getting cast until the casting is made public. If you choose to decline, we will respect your decision, and ultimately move on to somebody else. ALSO: If you haven't already, we would urge you to remove any auditions you submitted if they've been rejected. We don't reject any auditions submitted unless they're duplicates, incorrect/incomplete auditions. For the sake of keeping the casting call organized, we ask those who have rejected auditions to delete them if possible. Thanks guys!     Having a demo or resume is not required in order to audition. The only requirements to be considered for casting is to audition for a character listed below this casting call page. Having a demo/resume just helps us see your past experience & contact info prior to casting. This way we can have direct contact with actors. A strong young soldier in Hyrule's Army, who possesses the Triforce of Courage. He is kind, can "speak" with fairies, and has a strong sense of justice. His main fighting style revolves around swordplay with a sword and shield.

NOTE: This is a non vocal speaking role. Recordings will involve constant grunting, yelling, groaning, etc. Be prepared to take on these heavy vocal practices if you plan on getting cast for Link.

Proxi is a small, adorable fairy who finds herself in the crossfire of Hyrule Castle's siege. Link comes into contact with the fairy and the two become fighting partners. Proxi speaks for Link when in commentary with the other warriors on the battlefield.

A quirky, talkative and encouraging young voice. Not looking for an incredibly high squeaky voice, as the fairy should sound endearing and fun to listen to.

Attendant and vassal of Zelda. She is the leader of a family charged with supporting Hyrule's royal family from the shadows, and is immensely loyal to Zelda. She fights with a giant longsword, which she uses back-handed. Her fighting style consists of quick and precise attacks as well manipulating water to take the shape of weapons.

[RECOMMENDED] Seeking a foreign accent. Regardless, a mature female, American accent will suffice.

Seeking a mature woman voice. A hard shell, very strict and serious, especially when it comes to combat.

An individual of questionable origin, Sheik is revealed to Link and Impa during a time of great need. Though quiet and betraying very little emotion, Sheik nevertheless finds ways to make a lasting impact on fellow warriors with a very distinct way with words. Introduced as a Sheikah, Sheik is ready and able to assist Hyrule's efforts, even if Impa is highly skeptical.


Quiet nature and collective. Should sound slightly different from Princess Zelda.

  • You can call me... Sheik. It's a name that comes from the Sheikah tribe. They were servants of the Hyrulean Royal Family.

  • I'm concerned about our primary mission, but first, we have to rescue Princess Ruto!

Lana [The White Sorceress]

A sorceress with a deep knowledge of spells, monsters, and using spells on monsters. Lana and Cia have an unspoken hostility, even beyond the normal anger that war brings out. Lana is fiercely determined to put a halt to Cia's plans, even at the cost of her own life or happiness. Her default weapon is a book which gives her the ability to form barriers which, when shattered, can cause immense damage to enemies. Her second style is a spear allowing her to access the power of the Great Deku Tree.

Very perky and shimmering with personality; consider a Japanese pop idol.

The princess of Hyrule, who leads her army against Cia's. She is very dignified and beautiful. She uses a rapier and a bow in battle. She's classified to possess an immense amount of wisdom, bearing her symbol of the Triforce: The Triforce of Wisdom. Zelda is strong, fearless and inspiring to her troops and allies. She defends her kingdom when the times grow more dire. As the princess of her kingdom, she puts her life on the line in order to protect the sacred land.

Elegant, pristine, caring and mindful.

Leader of the Gorons, Darunia is an extremely powerful force, even within his tribe. Just like all Gorons, his rock-like body makes him tough to mess with. While he can sometimes be very stubborn, he does so out of love for his Goron brothers. Darunia swings around the Hammer like it weighs nothing at all, even though it weighs a ton!

Sturdy, bold and energetic; has a soft spot for his brothers and allies.

A bit of a tomboy, Ruto is the princess of the Zoras. She may come off as a snooty, spoiled brat—and she is—but Ruto is also quite refined and dedicated to her cause. She does what she has to in order to protect those she loves most, and that certainly includes her future husband, Link (it’s complicated). Using the Zora Scale, she can summon giant waves that crash into enemies as well as create bubbles of water that she can swim through.

The Twilight Princess, who has wandered away from her family for unknown reasons. Although she is smart and kind, she has a tendency to look down on others and get into trouble because of her sharp tongue. She was turned into her current form by Cia, and thus seeks to return to her normal form. In battle, she uses magic and can summon Twilit wolves in order to ride or use as attack beasts.

In post production, Midna will be provided with a warped sound effect, to align with her state of being in Imp Form. If you wish to provide a sound effect, please include the raw version of your auditions in the same recording.

Fi, the spirit of the Goddess Sword sealed inside the Statue of the Goddess in Skyloft. With extensive knowledge and a highly analytical mind, Fi thinks things through logically and offers advice and wisdom to whoever holds the sword. Her body is made of a blue, metal-like material. Fi floats and moves in the air, and transforms into a sword to attack.

Major antagonist. Cia was originally a guardian tasked with maintaining the balance of the Triforce. As an observer of the Triforce, her magic allowed her to witness eras of distant ages of Hyrule and the fates of all those who lived, but would never interfere. Although a good person at heart, she came to harbor powerful affections for Link. However, a great evil warped her curiosity and consumed her with lust and power. She's responsible for setting the events of the story to unfold, and bringing darkness upon the land.

Very mature female role; presenting a pinch of promiscuity, a handful of lust and mad with power.

Wizzro is an evil wizard with powers of dark magic, which he controls with the ring that gives him essence. His powers allow him to manifest blasts of energy, as well as to shapeshift and disguise himself as other people. Wizzro enjoys causing mayhem and destruction in his battles, though he has a tendency of blindly turning to others in power.

Crazy spirited, a loose cannon and filled with maniac energy. Highly unpredictable.

One of the secondary antagonists, Zant forms an alliance with Cia and is tasked with guarding the Gate of Souls within the palace. Prior to this, he had stolen the throne from Midna in the Palace of Twilight, taking her place as the ruler of the Twili. He's lust with power and a complete psychopath. However, when masked, he takes on a more collective but cold and deadly personality.

One of the secondary antagonists, Ghirahim leads the forces from the Sealed Grounds to fight against the humans. He allies with Cia, in order to aid her cause. Ghirahim is absolutely fabulously flamboyant with a lot of style. He's clever, malicious and sinister when it comes to crushing his enemies. However, when things do not go the way he plans, the Demon Lord loses his composure and becomes an erratic, violent fiend who seeks to take out his anger on someone else while satisfying his "strong appetite for bloodshed".

Cunning, sweet talking, aggressive and flamboyant.

  • That Volga, so full of himself. He forgets that it is I, Ghirahim, who leads the demon tribe.

  • Oooh, yes. Come now, minions! Let's show these children what our fangs look like!

  • It's time to flatten the humans' base! And I may as well destroy some humans while I'm there!

The true, main antagonist. Ganondorf, the Great King of Evil, is the malevolent force that takes lives inside Cia's soul throughout most of the story. He attempts to reassemble the fragments of his soul in order to gain his powers back. He does so by counseling Cia and using her dark abilities by opening the Gate of Souls. Once free from his seal, he attempts to seek out the completed Triforce and conquer all of Hyrule.

This role calls for a deep, intimidating, powerful and mighty, masculine voice.

  • There will be no running today... Not when the Triforce of Power is within my grasp!

  • Is that all? I expected the hero to be something more than a minor diversion.

Hylian Captains are the higher ranking soldiers of the Hyrulean Forces. As with the other soldiers, they are Hylians trained to serve the Kingdom of Hyrule in times of war. They appear in numerous battles where the Hyrulean Forces face the Dark Forces, and later Ganondorf's Forces.

Brave knights of the Hyrulean Army. They fight alongside the Captains, the General (Impa) and the princess herself.

Goron Captains are the higher ranking Goron soldiers of the Goron Forces. They appear as Gorons wearing plated iron armor and thick helmets. As with the rest of the Goron Forces, they are allied with and appear to the aid of the Hyrulean Forces in their fight against the Dark Forces. They tend to have a soft and calm personality despite their rocky appearance. The Goron are widely known for being a gentle species.

After Link finds Fi, he must protect her in order to deliver two batches of Pumpkin Soup to Levias, who in exchange pushes a mass of earth in order for the Warriors to reach new areas. After meeting the Great Fairy, she gives another batch of Pumpkin Soup to Levias, who attacks Volga in order to weaken him.
