Andrew Kirby is the father of the main character. He is a semi-retired MI6 officer who has spent the previous 30 or so years as a university professor and an instructor in Vault 76. Though he retains some of that classic "intelligence operative" vibe, he's very much a loving/doting father when he interacts with his daughter. He is from Buckinghamshire.

This role will not appear in every episode, but will appear in more than one.

  • ANDREW: At any rate, the project you’ve asked about... I’ll help as much as I can, but I wasn’t involved with it, even indirectly.

BETH: How did you know about it? VaultTec compartmentalized everything.

ANDREW: One of my friends - Dr. Anthony Flagler - was involved in it. He let something slip about it one day when we we’d had a bit of drink, and I thought it sounded fascinating.

BETH: And you got him to talk without even realizing it.

ANDREW: Now, if I’d known that my daughter would come to me for information about it twenty-five years later, I would’ve been rather more thorough.

BETH: I guess I’ll forgive you. Given that you didn’t even have a daughter then and all.

ANDREW: I can tell you that it was something they worked on right up until Reclamation Day, and the plan was to continue that here in Appalachia. They’d set up their laboratories so that they’d be able to survive anything short of a nuclear detonation directly on top of them.
