"No Faith In Brooklyn" Cover Collab

"No Faith In Brooklyn" Cover Collab

Project Overview

Hello All!

This is my first ever casting call, so if I'm a little technically challenged, please feel free to inform me!

This is a casting call to make a cover of "No Faith in Brooklyn" by Hoodie Allen ft. Jhameel.

Requirements:

1. Clean and clear audio

    - Minimal to no background noise.

    - Please, no laptop or built-in microphones.

    - Recorded in mono at 48kHz, 24 bit PCM.

2. Proficient at rapping.

    - Yes, I know there are yolo-ers out there that want to do this audition for fun, and I'm cool with that. But if you are serious about taking on this role, please have rhythm.

    - No particular style, but good annunciation is always a plus.

3. Be able to get your lines in on time.

    - After I have chosen you, I expect you to be able to turn your lines around to me in a timely manner. we will discuss what date will work with you as a deadline if you recieve the part.

THE ONLY OTHER REQUIREMENT:

Please use the backing track available on the bottom of the page in your audition. There are only 100 downloads available, so if the link is out of downloads, please use another audio recorder to rip the backing track and use it.

If you would like to see some of my other work to know I am legit, here is my soundcloud:

Good luck, and happy auditioning!

Remember, this is your song. You can choose to make it sound as much like the original or as much as your own as you please. But, because I do have preferences, clear pronunciation and a baritone-tenor type voice will be favored.

  • (during the opening chorus, you may put in little riffs and noises, such as your name or "fillers" such as yeahs and uhs. Just try not to go overboard)

We should take a walk someday
Dream about what we could've been
But I don't wanna leave this place
    No faith in Brooklyn
If I move out one day
It will make me a better man
But I don't wanna leave this place
    No faith in Brooklyn, No

I said I'm so gone, oh my God, where's the menu?

Order me all your sushi for all them bitches at the venue

    Stop, drop, roll, continue

Cause haters try to mingle, and I'm just tryin' to sing you a song

Tell ya that I'm leavin' but I won't be long

If it was up to me I'd see ya tomarr

But talk's cheap so I'm payin' up

New kicks be the only way I'm layin' up

So maybe I won't make it as an athlete

But that don't mean I'll let the competition pass me

I money ball, Billy Beane and some skinny jeans

And the whole damn team just some mini me's

Cause they ain't seen another kid like this

It's on your mind baby you should probably write this

I told her I can dance good for a white kid

So turn around, show me everything I might miss
