Next to Normal Tribute Album
Project Overview
I'm here to restart a project that I've been going on and off with for quite a few years now. It's a tribute to my favourite musical (which has been in practically every country EXCEPT mine, seriously?!), Next to Normal.
As the musical mostly consists of singing, there is very little speaking. This will not be an audio play of the musical, but more of a tribute album.
If your desired character has 2 songs, you must sing both. You don't have to sing the whole song, just the parts I've marked out. I've tried to pick "contrasting" songs for each character. Please sing acapella for your auditions. Don't let the characters' ages distract you; you may audition for more than one character if you want. These are just the ages you should roughly sound like.
If you are auditioning for Dr. Madden, you will also receive the smaller role of Dr. Fine, as both characters are generally played by the same actor. Dr. Fine is only really in one song anyway. As for Natalie, although Growing Up Unstable is not in the musical, I've included it in the audition because I feel that it adds more to her character.
WARNING: This musical contains a lot of adult themes. There are several F-bombs and other curse words chucked around, as well as themes of drugs, etc.
Once every character has been cast, I'll be sending everyone instrumentals of the songs. I'll try and get as many as possible, though it's unlikely that we'll be covering nearly 50 songs. At least 20 will be in there.
