Young and professional attendant at a futuristic centre where people can speak with holograms of the dead
We preserve people here. Maybe not physically, but then again, who cares about that? CDs are the past. If you're going to preserve a soul, there's no better way to do it.
Dr. Seddler is an older, stubborn figure. They created a centre where visitors can speak with holograms of the deceased
Well, I can't say I'm surprised. I never did get good feedback from
my public appearances. Abrasive, I think was the word I heard most.On the one hand, if the holograms never acknowledged their own state
of existence, then any mention of an outside world was out of the
question. People couldn't ask Freud what he thought about some social
media slight or cyber-bullying incident. I stopped calling them
“characters” when I realised that.
Tommy is a young man or woman who has gone to speak with a hologram of Dr. Seddler and get some things off his/her chest
God damn. This is what you spent your final months doing? Creating a
little surprise for me?“The Zoo” doesn't imply equality between the visitors and the
holograms. It implies gawkage. It implies they're being watched...
Being played with, maybe. Not engaged. You watch the holograms like
animals behind bars.
