Narrator and Sound Designors Needed for Speculative Evolution Documentary

Project Overview

Hello there, I am in need of some help for a documentary I will be creating as my final project for my university film program.  Here is a breif description of my idea:

We start our story in our home… planet Earth.  Since our appearance on the planet around 3 million years ago, humans have endlessly shaped the planet around us.  However, what wouldhappen when the inevitable path of life takes its course and our species goesextinct?  The answer is simple: life would move on without us. However our impact on the world’s wildlife is far too great for many of thespecies we know to continue on much longer.  In 10 million years forward, the Earth is recovering from an ice age.  The world is very different, asthe continents have shifted and a whole new batch of creatures inhabits theareas inhabited by the creatures we know today like polar bears, zebras andwhales. We will explore four habitats in this strange, yet familiar Earth: TheOcean, The Great Rift Island, The Australian Jungle and the Himalayan Cliffs.

Can you write music? Well if so, please provide some samples for the scenarios in the lines.

  • Write a peice that fits an arial ambush by a Gliding Tree Monitor.

  • Write a peice for a migration of Frighorn's across the icy landscape of the Himalayan winter.

  • Write a main theme that has a feel of epicness to it. Really make the audience feel how spectacular evolution is and the wonders it can produce

Wish to create voices for the animals? Well look no further, choose one of these creatures to start!

Leopon: The worlds last big cat, descended from the lion and leopard.

Rock Jumper: This small, agile descendent of the yak lives its entire life on the uneven surface of the Himilayan cliffs.

Crocasaurus: Descended from the crocodiles that inhabit the waters of Australian today, this apex predator is an oddity. It’s bipedal and hunts on land in a way similar to the ancient tyrannosaurs.

  • Pick one of the creatures in the description and create some sounds for it.

As the narrator you will be responsible for informing the audience about our creatures.  I'm looking for a smooth, british accented voice.

  • Due to seismac activity in Earth's crust, the Great African Rift Valley of Ethiopia has split from the continent is a fashion similar tohow Madagascar was formed.  However, species we know like the rhinoceros and lion have long since died out, however the grassland isn't empty. Large herds of herbivors still roam the landscape, and preying on them is the world's only remaining cat: the Leopon.  Leopon's are relatives of today's lions and leopards, and despite being smaller than it's ancestors it is a formidable hunter. What the Leopon lacks in size it makes up for in cunning.  Like leopards, the Leopon is an exceptional climber but on a whole different scale. A prehensil tail and hooked thumb clause provide exceptional grip on the thin branches. Now that the cat has climbed up to a sutible branch, it hunkers down and waits.

  • This playful little creature is an aquotter.  This pup is about 6 months old, and is joinng his mother for his first hunt.  Aquotters live in small pods of 5 individuals, led by a single male. He is the alpha, and part of his responsibilities include making sure thed pods hunts succede. The hunting tatics used by the aquotter are found in nature today, but it's not in their ancestors.  The pod is using a tatic simalar to how orcas and other dolphins hunt. You may think a group of otters hunting like dolphins is strage, but there is a reason the aquotter is like this. As man disappeared with him went the large variety of whales that once dominated the sea. The smaller toothed whales like the orca, were replaced by this decedent of the modern otter.

  • Like its ancestor, the Australian ground bear is a browser, which means it feeds of the leaves of trees and bushes that populate the jungle. However, compared to the koalas it evolved from the ground bear is far less picky. Whereas a koala will eat purely eucalyptus leaves, ground bears will eat any leaf that’s safe. Cubs watch as their mother’s brows to learn which plants to avoid, such as the Snake Gum tree. A single leafe of this poisonous plant has a toxin 5 times more powerful than cyanide!
