「Mystic Messenger」 Leads & Extras Needed!

Project Overview

Hello, welcome!

-About
This project is based on the mobile app, "Mystic Messenger."  I'm looking for voice actors to dub Mystic Messenger themed comics. I'm going to be posting it on my YouTube channel. I'm looking for permanent actors/actresses willing to participate and contribute their voice in the comic dubs.  Thank you very much for looking at my open casting call! :) 
Requirements:
-A decent microphone.
No background noises, please!
A trick to help with that I learned is putting a blanket over your head and microphone. It sounds ridiculous, yes, but it does the trick. Overall, reducing a plethora of background noise.
-A form of contacting
Typically, I send out scripts via email, however; I'm open to sending it on any platform. Preferably email as it's easy to send and receive lines. 
-Activity
I post the dubs on my YouTube channel, typically every week. Ultimately, I need some who is active and can send lines on time. It makes it easier for everyone. 
I send out scripts every Monday and I'd like them back by Sunday. So, if you're not active or missing in action, it messes up the process. I'm trying to keep up a schedule. 
-If you're cast
If you're cast, I will message you on Casting Call Club, please respond. If you're not serious about it, please let me know in advance. I'll give the role to someone else.
Going back to contact, please let me know. If you cannot participate for that week or a certain amount of time let me know! I'm completely fine with it, I completely understand that life gets in the way sometimes, but please let me know before Thursday of that week. If need be, I need enough time to cast an understudy for that week.
-This is supposed to be fun! So my apologies if it seems too serious! It's a way for voice actors/actress to get their voice out there! In addition, contributing to the fanbase.

  • Deadline pushed back + Thank you to those who have auditioned!

    Wow! I didn't expect many people to audition, thank you very much to those who've auditioned. I've gone through all the auditions, all of them were great. Sadly, I could only cast a select few. Just to be certain, I've pushed the deadline by four days. Now, the deadline is July 1, 2017. Once again, thank you to those who have auditioned!

On the surface, Zen is known for being a very eccentric and flirtatious character. He will often talk about his looks, praising and complimenting himself for how attractive he his, as well as how talented he is when it comes to singing and acting. 

Zen is the youngest son in his family and lived with his mother, father, and older brother. His family is described as being quite conservative; his parents being teachers and his older brother working as a lawyer. During his younger years, he was harassed by strangers as they followed him to touch him or take pictures of him. Zen and Jumin do not get along well. Zen often describes Jumin as a 'jerk' and a 'trust fund kid' who cares only about his money and is unable to do anything without his father or Jaehee's help. Zen tries to avoid him and dislikes talking to him. Zen hates how Jumin provokes him with pictures or talk of cats. However, Zen admits that he doesn't dislike Jumin as a person and that much of his apparent anger towards him is misdirected anger towards his brother, due to the fact he feels Jumin's personality is similar to his.

  • "Perhaps God made a mistake? My beauty is *too* perfect. After all, I feel bad no one looks as good as I do. It feels almost unfair.""No way. Jaehee is my fan, nothing more. She feels no such feelings for me, I feel the same way. She's like a sister to me. Always looking after the group and taking care of... *scoffs* trust-fund kid." 

  • "My god... I don't even want to work, but my acting is just perfect...""Would anyone believe if I say I'm ugly? It is such a ridiculous lie." 

  • "Jumin and I are like cats and dogs. Or maybe a trustworthy dog and a petty monkey. Of course, I'm the dog.""Looking at my old photos makes me think... God, I was handsome back then too... Seriously."

In this scene, Saeran is deceiving MC (the player) stating he is, "searching for the phone's owner." Saeran persuades MC to travel to the phone's owner. (Rika)  However, despite his lies, MC is suspicious about traveling to a stranger's home who supposedly died two years prior. (If you're curious, in the image shown, Saeran is on the left.)
In the main game, he tricks her into going to Rika's apartment. He wants her to join Mint Eye but isn't afraid to kill her if needed.

Saeran is very hostile and defensive towards everyone, particularly his twin brother, Saeyoung (707). This is due to having been "brainwashed," drugged, and tricked into believing he was abandoned by Saeyoung when they were younger. He has become very paranoid and refuses to trust anyone for fear of being betrayed again. In the main game, he tricks her into going to Rika's apartment. He wants her to join Mint Eye but isn't afraid to kill her if needed.

  • "I found a smartphone at the subway station, but all it had was this messenger app.""I want to find the owner, but I don't see any contact info or call records...""I've been sending messages with this app, but no reply."

Even though Jaehee is a fairly serious and independent business woman, she is very caring. Jaehee has her own sense of humor and knows how to have a good chuckle at herself and others. That being said, she likes things to be organized and kept in line (One of the reasons she doesn't like taking care of cats; the one hair she misses while cleaning up after them drives her mad). It's very frustrating to her when things do not go according to schedule or if she is saddled with unexpected extra work. But ever the responsible one, she always comes through and deals the best she can despite the challenges her boss and friend Jumin always throws at her both in work and personal life.  Jaehee is Jumin's Chief Secretary, her job involves auditing his schedule and also looking after his cat, Elizabeth 3rd, which tends to drive her crazy. Jaehee isn't happy about everything her job with Jumin has to offer and gets frustrated with him from time to time. But she is always loyal to her boss. She also refers to him as "Mr. Han", showing their professional relationship.

Although Jumin seems indifferent to her suffering (he believes that as long as he pays her well, she should have no reason to complain about her workload), he entrusts her with work that goes beyond her role as an assistant (eg. taking charge of a presentation). Because the two are together frequently, they know each other quite well, as well as having respect for one another as a team and friends.  Jaehee is like the mother of the group, she's very caring.

  • "I used to like snow when I was little. But now all I think about is how I'll be going to work.""It's a part of my job to catch people parking illegally during hectic hours."

(In this scene, the R.F.A (Rika's Fundraising Association) is questioning V. They're all very confused as to why there's a stranger in their chatroom and why she's currently in RIka's apartment.) 
He is the current head of the RFA but he is often offline because of his trips as a photographer and his blindness. He was the fiance of Rika, and was depressed after she died, but didn't show it. V is a person who often works with Seven together and keeps things as a secret to the RFA members. He is childhood friends with Jumin, as Jumin stated that V and myself used to go to the same church and V talking about their schooling times together. V is a person who respects one's privacy. This can be seen when he did not know Rika's password even though the apartment was under his name. He is also the type who keeps everything to himself, to the point where he would rather live with the burden of all his secrets than telling the other RFA members. He does not tell Seven all his secrets until he had no choice. Also, Zen says that although V is famous within the photography industry, he is not well-known amongst the public since he does not like being talked about. 
Keep in mind when auditioning, V is a young adult!

  • "I'm already here.""Yeah, I guess I'm the last one to know about this." *Laughs*"How is everyone? Jaehee, you've been well?"

  • "Hey. Well, I heard about the situation.""She is currently in Rika's apartment with information from a stranger and logged into this chatroom.""Well, no one knew the password. I don't even know it myself."

  • "It belongs to me, I don't the password to the apartment because I respected her privacy." "I've never been there, I just know where it's located." "Anyways, the apartment is in my name.""Rika used to work there. There are a lot of documents in there that must not be damaged.""I can't reveal the address because all of the classified information about this organization is stored there, plus other sensitive materials."

(In the first set of lines, Rika is conversing with Yoosung, her cousin.  Yoosung asks Rika what she likes about V, Rika's fiance.)

(In the second set of lines, Rika is having a breakdown after the loss of her dog, Sandy. Yoosung is attempting to comfort her.)
(Finally, the last set of lines is an invitation to, 'Mint Eye' or 'Magenta.')
Without a shadow of a doubt, Rika is the most complex character in the game. 
Who is she in the game?
Rika is a sub-character in Mystic Messenger who founded the R.F.A and was V's girlfriend and fiancee. V claims she committed suicide a year and a half prior to the events of the game, although a body was never found and nobody witnessed her suicide.

What's her personality?

On the outside, Rika is often described by the R.F.A members as someone who is bright, strong-willed, and charismatic person. She is said to care deeply for others and wanted to help them achieve happiness, which is the sole reason for her creating the R.F.A. She is also capable of inviting many people to her parties, mainly due to her great influence on others.



Unknown to most, Rika is severely mentally ill. She struggles with depression, anxiety, paranoia, and (paranoia induced) delusions. She tries her best to hide this from all except V, the one she trusts most.



Rika is a caring, kind-natured woman, fighting severe mental illness; which causes her to lose herself, doing things she never would've done when she had a clear mind.



As time goes on, her mental condition worsens, only to be intensified by the death of her dog, which she blames herself for. She falls deeply into the delusion that she's a savior, and has to rescue everyone from the pain and sins of this world. Becoming more and more out of touch with reality, this delusion drives her to do extremely harmful things, even to the people she cares about.


  • "Well, do I need a reason? We're just...pulled towards each other. Our souls have the same frequency..Have you ever heard of that before?""Of course, I like him for those reasons. But ultimately, I just like the person he is. His world, his ways...they all make me feel comfortable?""It's so stable. It's like..warm sunlight that is always with me and never ceases to shine.""When I saw his photographs, I thought that he would love anyone for tho they are. And...I was right.""No matter how ugly I get, V always shows me, love. His world comforts me so much.""Yeah, I want to be someone warm like V, someone who can truly save others.""Thanks for thinking of me."

  • "I should have let it get surgery...! It's MY fault!" *On the verge of tears*"She probably ran into that car because she was too sad about not being able to see...Because I never understood..." *Crying*"I didn't even know how said it would be to not see anything...I don't deserve to be an owner!" *Crying*

  • "Meet the people who will love you forever. Attend the endless party. Don't you want to escape from this filthy world? This an invitation to paradise. Are you suffering from your past? We will help the pain go away. A world filled with pleasure...A world filled with truth... a world with no tears....A world with no rejection...Accept the angel's invitation.Magenta, Where everyone is happy..." *Calm, serene, and peaceful*

For the most part, Seven displays a happy-go-lucky, outgoing, and very bizarre personality. He frequently plays pranks on Yoosung via chatroom, makes fun of the other members (and himself), and, in response to just about anything, will respond with a series of "lol"s. He's essentially your typical jokester who loves cars (he owns multiple) and holds a passion for hacking.

However, the player's first impression of Seven is not the "real" Seven. Outside the chatroom, and behind the humorous front he puts up, Seven is actually quite depressed and serious, and he refuses to believe that anything good can happen to him. This is due to his past and his profession, as he thinks that he will endanger anyone he gets close to. This fear is brought up very often during the events of his route, usually when he is trying to push the player away.


  • "Hello! This is Seven Zero Seven. It's not an emergency or anything.Did you eat yet? As Mr. Trust Fund Kid said, you should never skip meals, even if you can't have balanced ones! Oh, of course, I had a feast! You're curious whatI had right? Drum roll, please!!! Duh-Duh-Duh! Mo other than Honey BuddhaChips and Doctor Pepper! Ahh, the combo of the heavens! I rarely have time to goout and eat so I take of my meals at home. And I work from home too so there's noneed to go outside. This is truly heaven!! Ahh, sadly, I gotta blast! Seven Zero Sevenis signing out!"

  • "The funniest thing in the world? Me! That would be me!!""The main character is always faced with a tragedy!""Hacker boy, you’re pretty good, but you’ll never beat me! Muhaha!"

  • "The legend of the pink cactus! 707's adventure! The true story that's better than a film!""The next birthday present for Mr. Trust Fund Kid will be cat pajamas!
