Project Overview
This romantic comedy revolves around an antisocial high school student named Hikigaya Hachiman with a distorted view on life and no friends or girlfriend. When he sees his classmates talking excitedly about living their adolescent lives, he mutters, They're a bunch of liars. When he is asked about his future dreams, he responds, Not working. A teacher gets Hachiman to join the volunteer service club, a club that aims to extend a helping hand to any student who seeks their support in achieving their goals. With the only other club member being the beautiful ice queen Yukino Yukinoshita, Hachiman finds himself on the front line of other people's problems—a place he never dreamed he would be. As Hachiman and Yukino use their wits to solve many students' problems, will Hachiman's rotten view of society prove to be a hindrance or a tool he can use to his advantage?

She is Hikki and Yui's classmate who is very popular in their class. She holds herself with such high esteem that she manipulates anyone who admires her.

He is a very popular guy in Hikki and Yui's class, who is good in almost everything.
It was hinted that he is in a relationship with Yumiko.

Yukino is the leader of the Service Club, of which she is the sole member until Hachiman joins her. She is smart, beautiful, and is nicknamed the "Ice-cold Beauty" for her icy demeanor. She has a twisted sense of "noblesse oblige," and believes that it is the duty of the exceptional (in other words, herself) to help the "lost lambs" of the world. Her personality often leads her to be disgusted at the naivety of others, particularly Yui's, and she does not hesitate to show it.
Hiratsuka-Sensei. I thought I told you to knock before you came in here.
Those who are blessed give to those who are less fortunate out of the goodness of their hearts. People call this "community service". To reach out, and help those who are in need. This is what the club does. Welcome to the Service club. We welcome you.
Shizuka is Hachiman's language teacher who also serves as his futures advisor/counselor. She is aware of Hachiman's supposed "problems", and takes steps to ensure he is freed from them, her first move being to force him into joining the Service Club. However, she appears to have some quirks of her own: she is a young smoker, she is very sensitive about her age, and she is often prone to quoting or copying scenes from popular shounen manga.
(Reading Hachiman's paper aloud) You go, and freaking die. (Now speaking to Hachiman.) Look, Hikigaya. What did I tell you to write about in class?
Anyway, you can probably tell at a glance that his personality's as rotten as his eyes. As a result, he's a lonely, and pitiful creature. Fix his rebelious, and loner-prone personality in this club. That's my request.
Kakeru is one of Hayato's friends. He is in the football club. He has feelings for Hina and is the only guy in class who often supports Hina's scripts.
