My Hero Academia Abridged

Project Overview

This Abridged is in the late planning stages.

The only thing we need are a couple more female voices and possibly one more male voice as we currently only have one voice actress to do every female character in the show and there are an abundance of male voices.
Based on the show itself, there won't be masses of lines for the roles below.
Due to the fact all over voices are being recorded on professional mics such as a Sennheiser MK4: https://en-us.sennheiser.com/condenser-microphone-studio-recordings-professional-mk-4
Good microphone quality is a necessity, with a Blue Snowball being the minimum standard.
This is a series that I, personally, am very attached to so I'm determined to use the best of my abilities to ensure it comes out well.
Several of us working on it have past experience with making abridged episodes from voice acting to writing.
Your experience doesn't need to be so specific or even vast so long as you have dedication, talent and can get the type of voice needed for the role.
Doing multiple roles is encouraged as having fewer people involved streamlines the process.
On top of auditioning, don't be afraid to talk a little about yourself as I find it better to know who I'm working with and being directly involved with them, rather than just asking for the lines and keeping them separated from the process.
A final point is age, many of the people working on this are in their early to mid twenties so, while we wont turn actual talent away, keep in mind that there could be biases against working with someone under the age of 16.
Because most people under the age of 16 are just a terrible detriment to society. ;)
There will be more female voices than are displayed here but we're only casting these ones on casting call, meaning if you get in on at least ONE voice the rest that AREN'T on here will be open to you.

Tsu has a very nasally voice, often she speaks in a dry tone to convey sarcasm rather than being over the top.

She's a fairly generic anime airhead who has a mood swing ever few seconds.

Since this is an abridged, we're changing her to be more intentionally gormless.
Her voice is also fairly standard so go with your gut.

Earlier in the series she's very passive, however later on she becomes a lot more passionate. So long as she sounds her age the voice should do fine.

His voice is generally higher in pitch but try not to have it be too annoying.

In essence, he's a self-centered pervert.

EraserHead generally sounds tired, bored or a mix of both, rarely shouting or being overly dramatic. Try not to fall into the trap of overdoing the dryness of tone and sounding forceful with it.

  • Use your strength to overcome your obstacles. Thats what "plus ultra" means.
