My Genderbent Hero Academia: The Animatic Series - Episode 1 - Part 1

Project Overview

I'm a fan of My Hero Academia, and of genderbending in general, and I just want to see the two mixed.

Beyond the series mainly being for fun, I also am curious how the subtext of the show could potentially change with such a small cosmetic difference. So this is also kind of a social experiment.

Each episode will be broken up into parts to make them more manageable, and simplify the cast. 

I'll try and do the bulk of the work in terms of sound design and music, but the most vital part of the show will be the photoshop artists who will perform the edits on the frame I provide them.

The edits should look like this:

I don't expect the first episode to be longer than 7 minutes as we're just dealing with the prologue the Giant Villain and the worldbuilding.

    After several weeks of waiting, I've reluctantly made the decision to put this project on hiatus. Probably indefinitely. One of my two main editors has seemingly dropped of the map and refuses to answer any of my emails, and while I'm sympathetic to people's personal lives and commitments, my understanding can only go so far. To all those who auditioned and patiently stuck around, I can only offer my sincerest apologies for this sudden and anti-climactic end. Then again, I really only started this project because I wanted to see if anyone else was interested in seeing MHA genderswapped, so in that respect I call this endeavor a success. Thank you all for your support and enthusiasm, Plus Ultra.

  • Let me explain

    I’m sorry this is going so slow, but I’m trying to give my artists a chance to make the edits for part 1, and give other people the chance to audition. The casting for Deku is definitely something I have to weigh because whoever gets that part will potentially be with us for the long haul. It’s not something I want to do lightly.

    The deadline has been extended in case anyone else is interested in auditioning.
