Project Overview
Hi All!
I'm not going to lie. This is a labour of love. A blossoming idea that I've had with the mainstream popularity of Podcasts such as Limetown and The Black Tapes, I've been toying around with creating my own freaky-deaky podcast, but from the perspective of a high-school girl and her friends. It would be a seasonal thing, with either the same actors being utilized, or obtaining different actors for each episode (Think Black Mirror).
I need dedicated people. People who want their voices out there. Since it is in it's beginning stages I can't offer money at the moment, but if this goes as far as I would like it to, compensation will be discussed.
FOR ALL AUDITONS:
Please introduce yourselves before you begin the lines. Tell me who you are, and why you like voice acting. Get creative!
Don't worry about having any experience, I'm happy to be your first voice acting opportunity!
THE STORY:
An overview of the story (as it stands right now).
Morgan, a high school girl starts her own podcast. It is her 'outlet' from school and life. It's officially about fashion, but often becomes more and more about the things going on in her life.
She has weird friends, weird parents, and something really strange is happening in her town.
And then it all comes to a boiling point when the boy she has a crush on disappears and starts sending her voice messages, pointing to his capture.
Guys it's gonna be legit.

Danny is your average nice guy. He's in a relationship with Jenny, but is very nice to Morgan, and knows about her feelings for him. He is kidnapped early on, but sends voice messages to Morgan, in an attempt to reveal his kidnapper.
Hi Morgan. Oh. I got this for you.
Jenny and I are going to get a bite to eat after third. Wanna come? You can record for your project if you want.
(whispered, barely audible) Please don't.
Can be any age from young adult to nearing retirement. Male or female. Only one scene, with a chance of return in later episodes
A local woman has been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping a 4-year-old boy from an apartment after luring him outside to play, police and court records said. The name of the woman is not being released at this time, but we will update this story as we know more.
In local news, the elementary school is still hosting their annual bakesale. All proceeds will go to getting a new library for the school. The bakesale will be on Saturday, November 12th from 8am until 5pm. Don't be shy! Buy yourself a few blondies!
We now go to John Hatch with the weather.
A minor character, mostly used to show the state of Morgan's house at any given time. Someone capable of sounding very stressed all of the time would be ideal.
Oh, screw you! You think I don't know who's daughter she is! She isn't just my problem!
Morgan I asked you to clean this room hours ago.
Your father left. I'm going out. Dinner's in the oven.

Jenny is a girl that grew up in the same town as Morgan. They've been rivals for years, but they've never been awful to each other. They often spend time with the same circle of friends, and Jenny is pumped for Morgan's fashion podcast, and often guest appears. She is dating Danny.
Hey Morgan, what's that?
Did you see what Mrs. Hatch was wearing? Shoulder pads, Morgan! SHOULDER. PADS. Girls! Listen to me right now. Shoulder pads are a sin. They are a crime against Jesus. For the love of all things good in this world DO NOT WEAR SHOULDER PADS.
I don't know where he is. Oh God is he okay? Morgan, what if he isn't okay?
Morgan is young, but she has seen some things over her life. She's a good person. She has a bad home life. Her parents are always fighting. She's been bullied at school, and she should sound soft for the most part- but it's up to you! Read her the way you want! I'd love to hear any one of your takes on this character! Make her your own.

(this is at the time of the first voice message). Hold on guys, Dan's calling me. Hello? (pause) Dan? Oh my god, did you butt dial me, you loser? (pause as Dan cries on other end of the line). Are you okay? Dan?! Hello!? (call ends) What the hell was that?
Morgan's dad. A slightly larger character than Mom, but still not a huge character. Should sound older. He does have some knowledge of what's happening in the town.
No. I'm leaving. There's something wrong with that girl, Hannah!
(quiet) I'm back at the house now. No, none of the lights are on.
How was school today?
Morgan and Jenny's homeroom teacher. Awkward. Shy. The police eventually arrest them for the kidnapping of Danny. A very intricate character with many flaws, but an equal amount of loveable traits. Find the right balance.
Okay kids. Break up into your groups and take a few minutes to discuss your special projects.
