Project Overview
Valerie is the only human brave enough to get up close and personal to study monsters. Will she survive? Will she even... befriend them?
"Monstrosity of a Family" is a webcomic by me! It follows Valerie (and her best friend Tilda) as she studies monsters (mythical creatures). It's mostly a comedy! It will update biweekly, and it's posted on my tapas: https://tapas.io/series/Monstrosity-of-a-Family New characters will be added to this casting call as they come in!
Please keep in mind this webcomic may deal with some mature themes, and may be a bit NSFW at times (one of the characters is a succubus, for example), so I please ask that you be 18 or older to audition! Please be comfortable with mature themes, such as sex and violence.
This is a paid project! You will be paid $15 just for being a part of my project! Then from there, it will be 30 cents per word. All rates are in USD. If you require more, I’m happy to discuss rates with you! It is also long term, so please be willing to stay.
When auditioning, please have no background noise, and no pops or anything like that! Also please sound passionate! Have fun! If you're cast, I'll be making a discord server for this project, but you aren't required to join.

Azzam is the first monster Valerie and Tilda meet. He is a Aqrabuamelu, or scorpion man. Azzam is serious and erudite. He is very smart and also very strong, not to mention venomous. He is dedicated to learning about the history and behaviors of different monsters, thus, somewhat treating his friends as his "examinees". However, Azzam will do anything to protect them. He hardly jokes around and may have a bit of a short temper.
Azzam needs a low, gruff voice.

Julijanna (pronounced as "Juli-yanna") is a succubus from Croatia. She is very raunchy, due to the fact that she's a succubus. However, she is also extremely ornery (especially when it comes to her short height). She has a feisty personality. She is brash and curious, and often picks fights with those much bigger than her. She has a short temper and is often picked on by her monster friends, due to the fact she doesn’t avoid, but instead, constantly seeks out humans. She’s an extrovert and loves to spend time around her friends, but is often annoyed by their constant teasing.
Julijanna needs a feminine, higher pitched voice.

He finds it hard to be serious in any situation, and is always cracking jokes. He especially loves to pick on Julijanna the succubus. Despite his constant joking around, he desires to be revered like the great cynocephaly Anubis.
Wigstan needs a lower pitched, masculine voice. English accent is appreciated but not required.

Mr. D'Avignon, or Lawrence D'Avignon, is the main character Valerie's father. As of now, he has a minor role, but will have a bigger role in certain episodes later on in the comic. He is very supportive of his daughter's interest in monsters, but like any good father, fears for her safety.
