Project Overview

UBER DRIVER
Pay: $40 flat | Platform: Remote | Format: WAV or AIFF files delivered digitally

The Uber Driver takes Zaire to the Kurious Festival on Day 1. What starts as small talk turns into a full philosophical conversation about life, festival culture, open mindedness and human connection. He is the first person Zaire connects with before the fantasy even begins. Warm, world worn and wise without trying to be. The kind of person who says something that stays with you long after you get out of the car.

I am looking for a voice isn't neutral, but also isn't over the top in a character voice. This can be confusing, but picture an uber driver that you took. What about that voice stood out to you. Just someone with a little something to them. A texture. A way of speaking that makes you feel like you have met them before.

Open to all ages, accents and backgrounds. The right voice will know itself when we hear it.

What we're looking for:
Grounded and natural. Not preachy. Not performative. Just real.

Audition sides:

"(laughs) GAY in the air. NOW that is funny. Wonder if the Republicans that go breathe in the same air."

"I am who I am because of that world. I met so many people, people who i traveled the world with. We would camp or bundle up in hotel, staying up all night talking about the state of the world. I made connections with people my dad would hate. But if I led with my eyes and not my heart, who knows where I would be."
