About the Midnight Blue
The idea for this project was first born about 4 years ago. And I have been working on it bit by bit ever since, as over the years life got tougher, people came and went, jobs did too. Places started being just "places" and not home. But one thing remained, this small idea. It's only during the last couple of years though that I started investing serious time & resources to bring it to life as I realized how much it really meant to me.
An idea, of a channel hosted by a captivating animated host, nothing really new, there are many VTubers out there. But I wanted to bring it to the next level, by giving it a unique personality, approach and production quality. Each episode is focused on a game/movie/series. But instead of reviewing it, criticizing it, giving it a grade or a mark, things the industry is already saturated of, the channel hosted by July Antares would aim to showcase and treat every art piece as equal, without prejudice, and let every person decide if a concept, a style, a setting, a character or an idea contained in the material inspires them to give it a try. At the end of each episode, there's going to be a personal VLOG section where July will talk to the audience about her experiences, her feelings, thoughts and just about anything she feels like. This is meant so a potential audience can connect and sympathize with her while also offering a subtle plotline going on.
I am aiming to launch the project as soon as possible now, with an ideal launch date possibly preceding the end of the year by as much as possible.
About the Casting Call
I am looking for a female voice actress with whom the project resonates with and isn't in it just for the money, I need someone who is willing to put dedication and passion in her interpretation of July on the long run.
The job requires the recording of 76 episode scripts worth of monologue, episodes which will range from 10 to 30 minutes on average.
Once the deadline of the casting call is reached and the winner is picked, the VA should start work immediately, the deadline for all recordings to be complete would be by the end of July at best. With roughly 3 months of work time, and about 1 script/day being completed it should be very manageable. This is so work on the animation lip-sync and final editing can be made. Currently, there's 2 years worth of content in production, so all work that is being done will be enough to cover 2 years of publishing. This is to ensure that the channel will be around long enough to ever have a chance of growth, while in the meantime leaving plenty of time to work on “S02”.
Payment will be made in 3 batches as the VA completes the work (unless the VA would rather have it all paid at once).
And of course name and social media links will be featured in the credits and descriptions of each episode to offer exposure.
If this proves to have any degree of success anytime in the following 2 years, there is the possibility for everyone involved to not only have an increase in amount and quantity of paid work in the foreseeable future by/for Midnight Blue as well, but also be able to grow along with the project and July in potentially limitless other directions.
