Mewtwo's Return: a Super Smash Bros. Wii U Musical Machinima
Project Overview
So apparently leaving a casting call video on an obscure YouTube channel and then not touching it for a month is not the best way to generate interest in a machinima. Hopefully putting this here instead, on a site intended for gathering voice actors, will be more successful in garnering attention.
In any case, I'm planning the last two episodes of a miniseries about Mewtwo's return to the Super Smash Bros. universe. The first two episodes, Pollyanna and Bein' Friends, are already up, if you want to see what they're like.
The final two episodes will introduce two characters (Mewtwo and Ness) and I'll need voice actors for them. Of particular note, this is musical machinima series, so half of your job will be singing, if not more. The audition lines reflect this fact, with one spoken line and one song snippet. The backing track is in the explanation video; while recording, please listen to it through headphones/earbuds so that you can time and tune your singing to it. Ultimately, though, submit your voice alone.
The deadline is in a little over a month (Sunday, January 24, 2016). You can either submit it here on Casting Call Club, or via my email, as per the video. I look forward to hearing your auditions!

Mewtwo is a pensive, introverted character, so I’m looking for a low, operatic voice to match this characterization. As far as gender goes, I’m imagining a male voice, but a low female alto voice would also be viable for this role. The audition song excerpt is from “Wisdom of the World” from the Mother soundtrack.
Here I am again, back the world of Smash. The world where, back in the days of Melee, I fought alongside and against so many heroes and villains. Where I tested my strength against even Master and Crazy Hands themselves.

Ness is just a generally friendly boy or young teen; I’m not looking for anything too specific in his voice. Voice actors of any gender are welcome to try out. The audition song excerpt is “Kiseki” from Pokémon X and Y.
UPDATE: role casted to paardkirsten (who auditioned for Mewtwo, but whose voice I felt would work very well with Ness instead)
