About Love Live! Aqours Cover + Fandub auditions OPEN!

Hi! I'm Lyra, and I'm hoping to make a Japanese cover group for the new generation of Love Live! , Aqours! I'm also hoping to make a fandub of the anime once episodes start coming out in the summer, but for now, we'll be dubbing over the Dengeki G's magazine articles, valentines messages, drama CDs, and the like....so basically, we'll be covering a lot of content. As such, please don't audition unless you're sure that, if cast, you'll be sticking to your role and will be an active member in this project! Major decisions (Such as a group name, song order, etc...) will be made in-group, and there will be a skype group for everyone to interact and get to know eachother. Let's all get along!

I will be taking the role of Yoshiko/Yohane, but I'll need some additional help managing the group as it is my first time setting up a project like this-- if you have any experience with mixing, video editing, vocal coaching, or being a leader of groups in general, please mention it in the comments when submitting your audition, or email me at [redacted]

Now that that's all out of the way, let's move on to rules/guidelines for auditions.

    1. Please have relatively good mic quality! I'm not expecting anything expensive or extremely professional by any means, but at the very least, there should be minimal background noise and no static.

    2. Similarly, please speak/sing clearly-- it will be really hard to cast you for the role if I have no idea what you're saying!

    3. Sing in Japanese and without music in the background! I want to be able to assess everyone's voice as much as possible. I myself am half Japanese, so I might be a little strict with pronounciation, but it won't hold you back from being casted as a character as I understand that everyone has room for improvement. Do your best, though!

    4. I won't be casting anyone until the deadline of June 25th, so please don't be concerned if you don't hear anything back from me! I won't be giving any feedback unless asked for it, though.

    5. Singers/VAs of any gender can audition! I will be looking for feminine sounding voices, however...

    6. Not really a rule as much as it is a tip, but try and audition for multiple characters and have multiple takes of your lines! Again, you don't have to do this, but it does make my job a lot easier when thinking about who will be best as which character, and how you convey emotion.

That should be all for now! I'll update this page if anything else comes to mind, but please have auditions submitted by the deadline of June 25th. I look forward to hearing everyone!
