It's been years, and it's taken a long time for me to get stable, but I'm still looking for actors with decent mic quality! The project remains unpaid, but there's room open for almost anyone!
Love As Scripted - Audio Drama
Project Overview
An audio drama version of the short story "Love As Scripted"! Will be entirely audio but when the project is finished, I do plan on posting it on youtube!
I hope to complete this within a month and a half but it might depend on how quickly I get the lines from the voice actors or which sound effects I can make or find. That being said, I would like actors to turn in lines within reasonable times but I understand if it may take a while. This is a solely for fun project and I won't be too strict about that.
When casted, I prefer voice actors to communicate with me through Discord, but Skype and Email are fine as well!

This voice should preferably be slightly deep-pitched with a sweet and kind air to it, but it's also very important that the voice can accurately fly into an uncontrollable rage and also be able to accurately depict the obsession and devotion Kaori develops for TV!Takahashi.
(hurt and resentful) “...You’re absolutely horrible. Yoko was right about you... you’re a monster, Takahashi...”
(narrative and regretful) “I didn’t listen to her, of course. By the time she had told me, it was too late. Anyone could’ve told me anything about Takahashi and I wouldn’t have listened to them. I was a fool. And I was utterly in love with him.”
(delusional) “Oh, Takahashi... It’s too late for that. Don’t you see? The Takahashi I truly love, the Takahashi I will always love, is right over there...”

Takahashi has to have a mellow and kind-sounding voice. Deeper voices and higher voices are all accepted as long as they can manage to sound suave and attractive. Voice actor must be comfortable with making coughing, gurgling noises, screaming, and then able to sound like they're barely holding onto life.
(casually happy) “Of course. Ideally, I’d love to start working on actual TV series scripts but first I have to build myself up and gain a reputation to do that.”
(mock concern) “Kaori, you’ve got me all wrong! I just... here. Look, Kaori, I made this just for you. It’s a videotape of me for whenever you get lonely or sad and ya’ start thinking of me again. Just play the tape and it’ll be like I’m right there with you! Okay, Kaori?”
(dying and desperately begging/sobbing for his life) “Kaori, please!! I won’t even break up with you! We’ll forget this whole thing even happened, okay? Okay!? I’ll even marry you, just please help me!! Don’t let me die!!”

Yoko needs to sound mature and down-to-earth. She needs to sound like a realist and less of an optimist. I imagine someone close to Suzan Egan would fit her perfectly, but you don't need to imitate her for this role!
(forcefully) “Sorry Takahashi, me and Kaori have plans.”
(exhaspirated) “Kaori, how many times do I gotta tell you, that boy is bad news! You shouldn’t be hanging around him, he’s nothing but trouble!
(exhaspirated) “That jerk has dated almost half the girls in the troupe. He uses them like scrap paper and then throws them all away just the same.”
