Project Overview
The following is a planned long-running Radioplay, based on my novel Loss; a project I am currently in publishing talks for.
Set in the fantastical world of Sorantium, Loss follows the lives of two childhood friends, as they enroll in the Mage Academy. But everything is not as it seems. A mysterious group have been abducting Mages for their own sinister purposes. How will these events unfold, and what secrets has the Academy been concealing?

While some of the people who auditioned via CastingCall Club have been successful, many of the characters have been cast from auditions obtained via other sites.

Ultimate power corrupts ultimately; Kenneth being the personification of this statement. Formerly a wise and powerful Mage, his social standing has led to his disinterest in anything outside of his own desires.
(Formal) Following this unfortunate tradgedy, I have no choice but to enact a ban on all field exercises, until further notice.
(Weak and pained) You brat... How... Dare you!
A calm and confident individual with a genius-level intellect. Often joking, with a sharp sense of humour, though can be serious when the time calls for it.
(Terrified) Close the gate! Close it!
(Half serious) Everything you see here... It's all in your head. So am I a figment of your imagination, or some higher power that's come to save you? Well, I think I'll leave that up to you to decide.
A stoic and serious man, he is known to be very emotionally distant. When required, he often exhibits strong commanding traits; due to his high position in the Technetium Military.
(Weak, but enraged) Next time you try to kill someone... Make sure that they're actually dead!
(Amused explanation) "Just an ordinary citizen", you say? Well, it seems our situations have been reversed. The moment I step outside of Technetium, I gain diplomatic immunity.
Shy and reserved, but deeply emotional and caring. She purposely stayed behind at the Mage Academy, in order to keep an eye on her brother. Exceptionally intelligent and well spoken.
(Soft) It's not his fault... He's just... not very good with people.
(Admonishing) Darqh, stop. You know that I don't like you fighting.
(Explaining) Healing magic mostly finds its roots in the manipulation of water and fluids. If I use it to manipulate your hormone and platelet levels in your blood... I can close up your cut faster.
A man with a loose grip on social customs and morality. Imprisoned beneath the Mage Academy since his teenage years, Wyatt's only human contact were the guards who watched over him. Suffering amnesia, he remembers little of his life before being locked away. Confrontational and occasionaly malicious, he has a habit of taunting people. Speals with a slight cockney accent.
(Dismissive) Don't mind me, mate, I just live 'ere. Not as if I can give ya' some space t' talk, you stupid git.
(Amused, yet discerning) Why d'ya' think you visited me every day, when I was locked up in that stupid little dungeon? Face it, mate, I’m ya' best friend.
(Confrontational) In 'ere, birth means nothin'. Rank means nothin'. Ya' think if we come across one of the Hunters, they're gonna care that you're the son of King Argen? If anythin', they'll see it as sport. So if ya' want to get out of this alive, think for ya'self for a change.
A man of vast knowledge and charm. Serious when the need arises, but can also be lighthearted and often sarcastic. He has little time for those who don't take their studies seriously, however will always offer a sympathetic ear and heartfelt advice when needed.
(Lighthearted, with an air of sarcasm) And this, class, ismy nephew. Unpleasant, isn’t he? Now you may think that his father being the king and his uncle being your teacher would elicit some kind of favouritism. Luckily for you all this isn’t the case. In fact, for his outburst, he has to stay here with me for an hour after class... writing lines.
(Uneasy curiosity) If he's the only one you've seen without a mask, what does he look like?
(Reassuring) Look at me.Look at me.You've done nothing wrong... I don't want you blaming yourself for this.
An antisocial and withdrawn individual. Gifted with a natural flare for combat-based magic, but cursed with poor exam skills, Darqh is a permanent fixture at the Mage Academy, having never graduated. Usually quiet, however can be outspoken and rude.
(Hesitant and uncertain) This place unsettles me... It's all been too easy.
(Smug and mocking) You think you're ready to use a spell of that magnitude? -heh- You're such an idiot.
(Threatening) You really think that you're man enough to fight me? I'll let you in on a little secret... I'm not exactly human. There's a reason why I don't age, why I'm as powerful as I am... And you're going to find out exactly what that reason is.
An arrogant and short-tempered young man. The son of the reigning King, he is not above using his social standing to get what he wants.
(Outraged) You can't do that!
(Shocked) You're the Lord of the Western Fields... You're the reason why no-one has been trading with us!
(Smug) You act like you're surprised? What else can you expect from someone like him? I'm just shocked he didn't lose an arm.
