Project Overview

After the mega success of dubbing the first episode of my original web serial novel, Loose Canon, I've decided to give the full-cast audio treatment to more episodes!

I'm looking for some talented actors to lend their voices for three new characters that make an appearance in episode 3: one, a sharpshooting outlands heroine, one, a brave adventuring warrior, and the other, an elegant wraithlike villainess. The discrepancy in the pricing for the three roles is based on length.

This episode is slated to debut in January.

Cyrus (SIGH-russ) is a down-to-earth, loyal and vivacious gunslinger in a fantasy Wild West. She has a heavy "cowgirl" accent (Texan, Western, or Southern would all be appropriate).

Said with a bark of laughter, amused, grateful, but tense in the heat of battle: “Ha! Much obliged, then,
missy! What’s the plan now?”
Said in explanation, mixed with awe, as she describes her friend: “He’s an Ahoote. A sky-kind. Never dreamed we’d
find other people up here.



Figgered anyone who
didn’t tunnel musta drowned when the floods came. They’re survivors, though, I
tell you what.” (Ahoote is pronounced Uh-HOO-tay)
Said in betrayal and rage: “Don’t you dare, y’post-straddlin’
saddle-gussy!”

Laru (LAIR-oo) is a Native American-inspired adventurer in a fantasy Wild West. His circumspect, well-spoken mannerisms belie his rugged firebrand personality. He is suffering from an injury throughout this episode, so his voice should sound pained—perhaps tight or raspy.

Said grumpily: “Kindly do
not eat my blood, friend.”
Said thoughtfully, reciting an old legend: “It is told that
long, long ago, the Ahoote and the Nwara were a single nation that occupied the
surface world, back when it was lush — not at all like the desolation it is
now.” (Ahoote is pronounced Uh-HOO-tay, and Nwara is pronounced NWAR(rhymes with car)-uh.)
Said gravely, but with determination: “It may be my last, for
good or for ill. Either we finish them, or they finish me.”

Maha Sailig (MAH-haw say-LEEG) is a conniving and bloodthirsty demon queen. I picture her with a delicate, seductive, spooky voice, perhaps with a bit of a growl to give her that monstrous edge. A Japanese accent would be a bonus, as she is (loosely) based on the rokurokubi.

Said in a predatory, intrigued tone (is she contemplating her next boyfriend or her next meal?): “You didn’t tell me
that he would be here...”
Said in cold accusation: “This ‘new world’ you
have promised us is desolate.”
Said in a howl of rage—feel free to make her sound even more monstrous than usual: “Treacherous snake! I
shall have your head!”
