Letters from Young Gods
Project Overview
Hey, voice actors!
I'm working on an original animation project that would span a number of months. It's entitled Letters from Young Gods, and it follows the story of five teenagers who make contact with a god- a god who has a favor to ask.
If you plan on auditioning, please keep in mind that you should have a decent mic. I would appreciate if you would do two or three takes for each line, but that's not required. You should have a Skype account and should be comfortable in a group chat.
If you have any questions, you can comment here or feel free to send me a private message!
Note: the dialogue contains curse words (kind of a lot of them), one character is openly transgender, and there are homosexual relationships in the course of the narrative. Please do not audition if any of these things have the potential to offend you.

His voice is medium-low. He frequently speaks in a hurry, but enunciates well.
"Shit, son, there you are! Finally, dude, where the fuck have you been all weekend?"
"Well, this is fucked."
"Is there any gay shit? I don't wanna be involved unless there's gay shit."
Asil is a trans male. He identifies as a boy, but was designated female at birth. As such, he has a female voice. I would really prefer to cast a DFAB trans person (whether that means FtM, agender, genderfluid etc) in this role, but will hire cis females. If you're trans, feel free to include that in your audition. His voice is flat and bored-sounding, always.
"I guess so, dude. Listen. I didn't have time to tell you because I was tricked. She was like, "let's go to the mountains today" so I was like yeah sure, and then as soon as we're out of service range she just springs it on me. "Hey guess what bitch we packed for you, we're out here for three days.'"
Scoff. (And just for fun, say the word scoff, too.)
"I'm not doing this. Absolutely not."
Her voice is medium. She is bilingual, so if you can speak a little bit of Spanish at the end of your recording, you are immediately boosted way up the list for me. She does talk a lot. Ildez is pronounced eel-dez.
"There you are! Fuck, man, you gotta warn me before you up and leave!"
"Now I'm more confused. What are the Far Reaches? That sounds foreboding, and I don't like that."
"What, he's not wrong. You and I both talk a lot. It's what we do. You gotta face the facts of life, Ildez."
I would like you to try to emulate Siri and that inhuman, airy quality. Any accent and any gender is permissable.
"I will take you to the Far Reaches, and then you will see- see what there is to be preserved."
"Nice to meet you, too. You can call me ZTZ."
"I am a god."
Medium-high voice, preferably with a bit of scratch to it.
"I'm really curious about this, honestly. You just found a book in the woods. In Latin. That's weird."
"Do we all have creepy experiences with a lady telling us we're special? Because that happened to me, too. White lady, red hair? Weird blue eyes?"
"Don't you dare fucking touch her!"
Valentina can have either an English, Welsh, Irish, or Scottish accent or a North American accent. She enunciates very clearly and has a slightly high voice. If I can't find a suitable voice actor, I'll be doing her voice.
"Oh. Okay. That's admittedly remarkably weird and obviously not your own, atrocious handwriting."
"I'd rather forage than starve."
"I don't suppose anyone has taken an opportunity to tell you that you are a most unpleasant human being. I'm taking that opportunity now: you are very unpleasant."
