Legends: Return of Azuron - Dungeons and Dragons Homebrew

Project Overview

Azuron is a homebrewed world I created for my Dungeons and Dragons campaign. I created a very long story to explain the world, but recently I had to rework a lot of the history. As a part of this, I'd really like to put together a sort of story in the form of a short video to explain to anyone interested what has happened throughout the world so far.

I only plan to make a single video but if everyone enjoys working together I may consider doing more. I'd like to get this done in no more than a few months but I understand that things get in the way.

In the beginning there was only Madegon. He was alone in the universe. He was an everlasting being, but grew lonely. In his loneliness, Madegon imagined many friends. In hopes of quenching his needs, Madegon gave up his limitless power to create friends.

Madegon realized he needed companionship of similarly powerful beings, so he created five gods, one to rule over each continent. Each god created a race to rule their continent. The gods helped each race build their strongholds and none wished to venture out beyond their lands, until one day the elves began marching on the peaceful land of Etorien.

The tribal Aramb people were unable to protect themselves from the onslaught. Lu’un rushed to Madegon to swear he had no idea what the elves had been planning and to beg for mercy. Madegon could not bare to punish one of his only friends and so he shifted their wrath upon the elves themselves. Every elf on the planet was gone, but it was too late. The world of Azuron fell into a spiral of ceaseless war for an unrecorded amount of time.

This time of war, known by most as The Reckoning of Azuron, marked an important shift in the world: the gods disappeared from the sky. No longer could they be seen meeting far north of Centorien. The day they disappeared was the day the fighting ceased.

  • War is not something you can gamble over. These people may mean nothing to you but we are nothing without them.

  • (Enraged) Lu'Un! I have dealt with your ignorance for the last time! I will tear you limb from limb and let you watch as your blood feeds the grasslands.

  • He can not be allowed to do this again, Madegon. I will not stand by any longer.
