Hi everyone! My name is Kiana, I'm the creator of the podcast Last Call at Bluebell Cafe, and we are looking for the cast for our fourth episode! The podcast is being produced under the Goose Thunder network. It centers on an enigmatic Barista who uses their supernatural powers to meddle in the lives of their human customers. This episode follows the Barista meddling in a rocky relationship between a young couple.
The couple in this episode are Sofia and Prerna, two young queer women of color. Please DO NOT audition for them unless you are a queer woman of color. Prerna is an Indian woman, and Sofia's ethnicity is unspecified. A large reason I created this podcast was to increase representation of marginalized communities, and I intend to do so. This is non-negotiable, do not message me asking for an exception. There are plenty of other roles in this and other series that have no restrictions on casting.
Casting will be done by late May, and lines should be submitted by mid-June. Because this is an episodic show, there will be a new cast every episode; if you audition for this and aren't cast, keep an eye out for future calls! Also, I may offer you a role in a future episode; if you accept you will have a different deadline, to be determined based on which episode you're cast in.
We're not looking for super high quality sound, as long as you have a decent mic (not a laptop or phone mic) you should be fine! Please clean up the audio before you submit it, there should be little to no static and the sound should be clear.

Prerna is comfortable in her relationship with Sofia. But when Sofia throws out the L word, Prerna is forced to reevaluate whether comfort is more important than happiness.
Sorry, I don’t usually get coffee so I don’t really know what I’m doing right now. (laughs nervously)
I’m not getting worked up. I just- I don’t know why you had to bring it up now. We were doing fine.
(calmly) I do care. It’s just, for the first time, I care more about my feelings than yours.
Sofia is a carefree, confident person. In fact, she's so confident that she doesn't see Prerna's negative reaction to her declaration of love coming.
Aww, come on, you gotta step out of your comfort zone once in a while.
(slowly, as she looks through her bag) Here… you… go…- wait, sorry, I can’t find my card!
(trying to sound relaxed) Jeez, you’re not sugarcoating at all, are you.
